Absolutely agree! Watching the drama is telling the producers that we're okay with a 16 year old playing a role where she marries an adult. I think we forget how unforgiving this industry is especially to kids! And personally I think even 18 isn't old enough! But the only thing that matters for Chinese producers is the Chinese audience if they watch it then they don't really care about anything else!
I saw this drama being talked about on Rednote a while ago and I didn't know the main actress was that young until sometime later! I'm not tryna be a hater but I just want to know why she was picked for the role. China does not have a shortage of young beautiful actresses who are adults. So why a minor?
I had spoilers for most of the final episodes but watching everything unfold step by step has been very interesting for me. I will seriously miss this show and A Yao's white hair!! It's definitely a good watch for anyone who is into slow paced shows. And there's definitely amazing chemistry between the leads! It's just not a show for everyone! For me it was a good watch!

This drama is definitely not for everyone! But personally it's a very good drama! I think we've become so Brainwashed to believe Dramas are all about Aesthetics and how attractive the leads are we Forget plots are more important! The leads in this drama are attractive I'm not saying they are not but the Plot is the main focus and not Aesthetics! I'm so interested in this Female lead particularly cause I feel like there's a lot of mystery around her but she's definitely Genuine towards the Male lead!
