Why did the production style change from "not a soap opera" in the first couple episodes to "soap opera" later on? I'm not talking about the content, but the way it was filmed. I've noticed this in a couple series lately. What's that about?
I just can't with the Celtic background music in the first episode, and the special effects in the fight scenes are so bad....If you're going to slow the camera down to demonstrate how close he came to the sword, shouldn't I see the hero ducking under, instead of the swordsman intentionally angling the sword away? Well, I didn't come here for the action, anyway. In ten minutes, that's almost all it's been.
I am LOVING this so far! Sung Joon's acting feels so natural. And the way he plays off Lee Byung Joon ---I just don't have words to describe! I'm only on episode 2. I hope the series holds up! ---Ok, I'm halfway through, now and this is the first show in YEARS I've wanted to miss work to binge! ---10 of 10 all the way through!
I think it's showing how he was never going to take responsibility. He's more concerned with her cheating than with the baby. He keeps insisting it's really his until she says "ok, you're right, it's yours." (paraphrasing) Then all of a sudden he wants to insist it's not his. He's just an asshole. He's *not* making sense. That's the point.
So awesome to watch Cha Hwa Yun in Young Lady and Gentleman and and then this back-to-back! That character was so over the top and this one's so classy! She's got great skill, and Wang Dae Ran must have been so much fun to play. All those moms were great!
Does anyone know where I can find info on the actresses playing schoolmates? I think I recognize one from small parts in dramas almost 20 years old. If she's the same actress I'm thinking of, I'd love to see the list of shows she's appeared in. I'm guessing it's pretty long. I have lots of respect for actors that have a long career in tiny roles.
I never take weekend drama’s seriously, I want them ridiculous for a reason…but I am questioning Korean employment…
Go read the subreddit on teaching English in Korea. It will answer your question. I don't know what country you're in, but I doubt this toxic work environment is unusal anywhere. The most exaggerated part is he's so open about rifling through her desk, not that he did it at all. I'm only part way through the episode. Maybe it gets worse.
That was a good show. I had a smile on my face and a warm feeling when it ended. It delved unexpectedly into trauma and mental illness. I mean, there were a couple of messed up people who were just messed up people. But I liked that the characters could see the main antagonist's behavior for what it was, response to trauma, even if they couldn't forgive the behavior. That's kinda rare.
Is anyone else having trouble uploading photos?
