Well thats your opinion, in my opinion its just typical goofy japanese stuff. The world is going under and they run around in anime outfits with heavy make up. Also did I mention the overacting?

I mean they are fighting for their lives in the end of the world, and they dress up like its paris fashion week. Typical cheesy japanese stuff. Btw I live in Japan so don't think im anti-japan.
