imo the plot hole/disappointing parts : - The police officier/brother it didn't make sense at all, at the end…
-I don't necessarily think how he sneaked into the island was bad, it was okay. The plot twist with the brother will continue in season 2. -The old man being the game master made me scream out of surprise, they totally tricked me. Haven't seen that plot twist for a long time. - Seong Gi Hoon wasn't supposed to be super likeable, he is just a normal guy who hit rock bottom in life. Some of his good parts are being caring and supporting. - Han Mi Nyeo/Deok Soo, they needed someone for us to hate =) Its a classic trope in these typ of death games.
Another case of a korean drama that was written while it was being filmed, that failed. The writer for sure had big ambitions in the beginning but lost herself halfway through, and probably started drinking soju instead of trying to deliver a well written story anymore. You simply do not start off a drama with heavy thriller elements and a murder mystery, and then focus the rest of the drama on fluffly romance and filler scenes. You are all being too kind here, this was a catastrophe.
