Ep 26-27 reminds me of Ep 1-6 where although there was dialogue all the dialogue was interesting & propelled the plot forward AND it was fast-paced & action-packed at times where it made sense and was necessary. For the past 6-8 episodes, I was missing that. I feel it that we're back to this pacing. I'm gonna update my review tomorrow for Ep 15-25. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Up to Ep 25: 1. SMY & BHH, yes. They get the "most" sweet scenes 2. MXW & the other guy whose name always escapes me are next. They're cute too. 3. Then it's MYM & TL. Next in popularity after SMY & BHH but they don't get much screen time (although literally watching Ep 26 rn & they're getting some or soon to be)
If you go into BR expecting romance you'll leave disappointed but again, I think SMY & BHH arc is very good and very cute. They're not annoying and she's not annoying next to SMY. You're cheering them on yet you're fearful something bad is going to happen to her eventually but you still want to keep watching until the end because you feel like you owe something to them. It's weird. I don't know how to explain it. But they are cute.

You should still watch it. We don't know the true ending and how it'll turn out although some can speculate as they've read the novel. But I'll say this...with how it's going you can't help but cheer for the pairings on despite it not being a romantic plot the scenes that are available are very cute & you can't help but watch them through until the end even though you may know what will happen...
Do I need to watch Blood of Youth and Dashing Youth before watching Blood River? I haven't watched either show…
I went in completely blind except 3 episodes of the anime, which I ended up dropping. Never saw the other two installments. I was fine up until Ep 12 then it got a little lost on the imperial arc but even then they did a good job giving us an adequate understanding of the new characters at this point of the plot. I had to rewatch a couple episodes and then the people here are super sweet if you ask who's who and they'll help explain it to you. Now we're on Ep 26 & it's fine & all's good so far. So yeah went in blind and so far enjoying it.
