Yeah, I prefer binge-watch than live-watch so I don't forget the story line. I tried in the past but it seems live-watch is not for me. I just do live-watch to write CW articles lately. Probably, when FINALLY my PTW list clear up and I have no dramas to watch, then I will do live-watching, hahaha.
LOL... the schedule on my profile page is actually not a schedule but more a reminder. I love keeping up with C-ent so I put Marcus Sim and AvenueX schedule there (more likely follow Marcus Sim cos he has fixed schedule). I don't want to get behind on knowing what's happening in C-ent world. The 'organizing' thing is just to look back dramas that I rated cos I have tendency to rate dramas/movies too high, hahaha, cot too emotional. And I need to watch at least 1 old drama a week taken from my PTW list.
Not sure which scheduling you meant?
I have watched news on CCP treatments of their people. I also found out about NRTA harsh censorship quite early in Asian dramaland, too. Although I just started watching Asian dramas/movies in summer 2019, but my first even Asian show (despite Jackie Chan's movies that are famous internationally of course), is Chinese movie Finding Mr Right. The Female Lead is Tang Wei or Rebecca Tang. As a newbie who was excited finding new amazing stuff of Asian dramaland, normally I looked up about the actors. And there was how I found out right away about NRTA censorship (used to be called SARFT). The actress was banned by SARFT for 3 years after acting in Lust, Caution movie (2007). Even when she's back in 2010 and played in a patriotic tribute movie The Founding of a Party, CCP founder's grandson asked her scenes to be removed.
After watching hundreds of Cdramas/movies, now I'm familiar what parts did NRTA cut or what production companies replaced in post-productions due to NRTA initial censors. Also, how production companies inserted what I called "government PPL" to inspire (domestic) audiences about the glorious China and its people, to get NRTA appovals. For example: hardworking students for youth dramas, championship winning for sports dramas, business ventures over international world or the usage of domestic resources in business dramas, etc etc. Usually I FF or skip the "government PPL" parts. Moreover, as someone who loves fantasy/mystery genres, I'm too familiar how Cdramas/movies of these genres are censored resulting in bad quality. Most of the Light on Series, for example. Which is kinda sad, their people are not allow to fantasize to the fullest.
I have submitted Part 2 of these series, that put me into a depression mode for several days. In Part 2 there are Zhang Han and Zhang Zhe Han in the list. Most of Zhang Han's dramas are probably shelved for a long time (2 are with Korean actresses and others are war/military dramas). And you know what happened to Zhang Zhe Han, right? It's quite heartbreaking for me to write on upcoming dramas of certain actors knowing that their works may never be seen.
Since I see in your profile that you like writing, why don't you give this idea a try: In the Forum's Article Ideas & Discussion, there is an idea pitched in on Chinese censorship (by fiflydramalover). I think it's a bit related with what you've concerned about.
