Thank you! You've watched it, too? I agree with the OSTs, because some of them are unique with the Amis music…
Actually there is someone claimed to write a CW article about it then the claim moved to recap cos the drama has ended. I will be waiting for the article to come out so I can decide if I want to watch it or not, lol. Too many shows in my PTW already I need to clear them up ;D
oh ok... no wonder... I actually looked up in Wikipedia on famous Taiwanese from Amis but only recognize Show Lo cos I watched his drama before. But I'm not too familiar with Taiwanese in their entertainment industry, either. That's is nice casting Joanne Tseng, besides her acting is good here, I haven't watched her before. You know people actually wondered if they should cast the indigenous people for the kawas, not the Hans.
That Greg Hsu reference is always fun.. hahah... I hope he appears at the end... . So Far I'm loving this drama..…
You know... for some reason, one time it came into my mind that Kakarayan is the Wisdom God too. Another thought is Fali has his own agenda, cos Toem challenges him about Kakarayan 'plan'.
Your article convinced me to watch this one!!^^One tiny correction, though... under the "Acting of Seasoned Actors"…
Omg, thank you so much for the correction! Luckily I got his name right in the "Key Supporting Character" section, lol, or the link would've directed to a wrong person. Enjoy the watch!
fantastic article but tiandi didn't see orad just in her dreams they communicated every time rain fell and obviously…
Actually they are not dreams but she thought they were cos he erased her memories. But I don't want to spoil the readers that he erased her memories for a reason ;D
I'm weak to fantasy genres, incorporation of ethnic groups, and the fact that it's a Taiwanese production is a…
Yeah, it's right up my alley, too! True about the wait... I just want to get the words out about this drama, since it seems under the radar atm. Thanks for the compliment on coloring, I only took the colors from the posters ;D
Interesting article! I watched Cdramas the most, however, I've never paid attention to Douban rating. Therefore,…
On MDL, the ratings are 9.1 (number 1) to 8.8 (number 10). On Douban, below are their ratings with raters' numbers:
Nirvana in Fire (as seen in the article) The Untamed = 7.7 (1.6M) Joy of Life = 7.9 (0.9M) Go Ahead = 6.8 (0.2M) Eternal Love = 6.5 (0.2M) The Story of Ming Lan = 7.7 (0.3M) You Are My Glory = 6.9 (0.3M) Love and Redemption = 7.5 (0.2M) Hikaru no Go = 8.7 (0.2M) Story of Yanxi Palace = 7.2 (0.3M)
By looking at the ratings above, it seems the statement that Douban raters are tough is true. However, my curiosity went further by comparing the ratings with Kdramas. So, I ran the top 10 ranked Kdramas on MDL as of November 22, and compared them with Douban ratings. Below are the results:
On MDL, the ratings are 9.2 (number 1) to 9.0 (number 10). On Douban, below are their ratings with raters' numbers: Move to Heaven = 9.1 <100K Hospital Playlist = 9.5 (0.2M) Flower of Evil = 8.7 (0.1M) Hospital Playlist 2 = 9.5 <100K My Mister = 9.4 (0.1M) Prison Playbook = 9.4 (0.1M) Reply 1988 = 9.7 (0.7M) It's Okay to Not Be Okay = 8.5 (0.1M) Navillera = 9.4 <100K Mr Queen = 6.9 <100K
Meanwhile, there are MDLers complaining that Kdramas are overrated on this site... ;D
Moreover, the army of Douban raters is way larger than MDL raters, as the latter numbers are at maximum about 50K only.

Below is my comparison between Douban raters and MDL raters for Cdramas and Kdramas with intriguing results. I put it in spoiler because it's a long post, but no spoiler for any drama ;D
