I have seen nearly all of the pre 2010 released top 10 popular doramas, in the early 2010s~. I remeber they were…
I saw Gokusen is only rated 8.1. Was it higher before? Probably the newer dramas are also more popular on MDL. Also, the MDL population is predominated by young women who prefer romance genre ;D
Omg... probably you're right about the Japanese historical romances. But is it always they're partially shaved/bald…
Yeah, you're right. Qing dynasty dramas not really popular because some people don't like seeing bald guys. For me it's depend on who is in it, but again, I prefer not seeing bald guys either, lol. Qing dynasty dramas not always based on history either.
I will forever love and rewatch these series: (no specific order) 1. Pride2. Orange Days3. Attention Please4.…
You're lucky... there is someone who wrote an article on actors who made a career through Kamen Rider series. The article is still in editing right now. I'm pretty sure when the article is published, you'll find more Kamen Rider fans in the comment section ;D
Shi Shi will be in my Taiwanese OST Singers Edition! I didn't even know this was already scheduled if you hadn't…
Yes I saw your article on Taiwanese OST singers is already in for editing as well ;D.
Here is the link of Marvelous City - Zhou Shen's episode. He's singing in the cave is towards the end. If you like traveling, watching the whole show is amazing cos it covers cities in China with actor's hosts in their respective hometowns. There are stories on locals who live there as well. Since we know these actors may not live in their hometowns anymore due to their career, so not much knowledge of their roots. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZM7CmP2zhyI&list=PLATwx1z00HsdC5BtEU71OdpL4qbcrQrGd&index=9
I normally don't like noona romance and don't care of second couple stories, but the second couple's story is so cute here. The actors did a great job portraying the characters. Jinna Fu is so elegant, and Wu Yu Heng is so adorable.
Hey, just found your article is scheduled when I was looking for Shi Shi (she sang the ending theme song for RLIAGL I made a CW article on). It must be hard to find the greatest three songs of these amazing Chinese singers to put them on your article, they're all sooo good! Although you know that I absolutely adore Liu Yu Ning, but my first knowing those singers is Zhou Shen when I watched Marvelous City. He is in Ep 1. I thought: "Who is he? I've never seen him in any drama..." LOL. Cos the rest episodes covering actors and their hometowns. You should hear him singing without music inside a cave! His voice just gave me goosebumps, especially with the cave acoustics. I love his life story as well <3
And great job compiling the lists! For me it's already hard to make and maintain one, let alone 10... You're amazing!
For Light On Series, so far only LN and TBK that are good tho I watched Sisyphus too. Did you watch the Pavilion…
Yeah I read it in the comment section, but then I also watched AvenueX. She said the censorship butchered it. Wisher was rejected by NRTA at the first time so they had to redo it. Many dialogues are not synched because they had to change it. As I have guessed, a lot of Light On Series got nailed with weird end and some holes. Also other modern Cdramas with fantasy element.
I've had this theory for a while that historical romances from japan aren't as popular as the ones from Korea/China…
Omg... probably you're right about the Japanese historical romances. But is it always they're partially shaved/bald heads? I mean in the RK movies, the ML has long hair lol. In Cdramas there are also Qing Dynasty period setting where the guys are with partially shaved/bald heads... ;D
I don't even know we have an article on the top 10 Kdramas? Do we?
oh ok lol... I already contacted the original author that started with 10 popular Kdramas, Matt, if he wants to make this type with Kdramas we will co-writing again. We'll see ;D
I'm part of that "old wave" of JDrama lovers who was so much in love with "classics" from end 90s, beginning 2000s'…
Ah, I think your hypothesis is true (all the love for Asian dramas started from manga fans watching Japanese live adaptations and their remakes). I was not into manga or Jpop, but was thrown into rabbit hole together to watch doramas with a bunch of others ;D
