I just realized probably the horror movies listed in the articles are not necessarily new cos articles on horror movies are quite rare. So here I compiled the top horror movies (minus romance and comedy). There are all completed but I don't know if they are subbed or not. Hopefully you can find something new to watch for Halloween ;D

Yeah that's why I only put top 5 cos I thought they're not popular on MDL. I think I put Dream Detective for a looong time in my Waiting to be Subbed List already. That one is still not subbed, eh? I think even some top actors like Johnny Bai played in RE dramas still don't make them to be subbed.

I think Novoland doesn't connect to each other, you can watch any first. I only watched Novoland: The Castle in the Sky 2 last year. I don't even watch the prequel. That sequel too not connected to the first one, cos it's about the daughter of the couple in the prequel. If you want to know more about the whole franchise, someone wrote an article about it:

Yeah, cos someone commented somewhere that Republican Era dramas kill their main characters. I don't necessarily like watching tragic endings ;D

I don't know Chinese either. Both novels are translated into English because of the popularity of the dramas. There is a bit info on Mao Ni on MDL, but this is more about him in Wikipedia:
