I was looking at the list again... for beginner-friendly usually the shorter the better. I can suggest One and Only (the shortest: 24 episodes) but it also has a continuation to modern setting Forever and Ever with the same main leads (30 episodes), because they're reincarnated. But I haven't watched it so probably others can pitch in what they think.
