I think Novoland doesn't connect to each other, you can watch any first. I only watched Novoland: The Castle in the Sky 2 last year. I don't even watch the prequel. That sequel too not connected to the first one, cos it's about the daughter of the couple in the prequel. If you want to know more about the whole franchise, someone wrote an article about it:

What are Cdramas that are post Republican but not modern?

Yeah, cos someone commented somewhere that Republican Era dramas kill their main characters. I don't necessarily like watching tragic endings ;D

You'll be even more surprised to know in the top 10 Kdramas, 3 of them are from 2021 ;D. One of them is Hospital Playlist 2 that is also very recent.

I don't know Chinese either. Both novels are translated into English because of the popularity of the dramas. There is a bit info on Mao Ni on MDL, but this is more about him in Wikipedia:

What I mean with amazing bromance is the entire crew of students and teachers in the academy have very strong friendship. No bromance partner dies.

No need to pinky promise cos I watched it lol! I assure you the four main leads don't die, but a few supporting characters do. You'll feel sad of course, cos you grow to love the supporting characters too. Their bromance is AMAZING.

Yeah, I know AvenueX raves about it. I will watch it when it's done subbing. Probably it will be like Forever Love. Predictable story but unexpectedly good.
