True... I have seen this with dramas from Chinese bigwig production corps Tencent lately they just copy paste from their past dramas. Though they plugged in popular Chinese actors but the dramas taste bland. But unfortunately unique dramas like this may not get subbed fast only fansubs pick them so become out of radar from us viewers.

I found Choi Woo Shik first in Ho Goo's Love (which you didn't mention)! Ho Goo's character is really a boyfriend/husband material! CWS acted brilliantly there, so lovable with his puppy eyes! The drama is underrated hidden gem, anti-cliche, and dared to touch some social issues stigmatized Korean society at that time.

Aah... as a Xiao Zhan's fan I watched his episode in Marvelous City twice!!! One raw version when the episode first came out and a week after being subbed! So cute seeing him yelled when he saw a rat in the tunnel, eating noodles early in the morning, and also the spicy hotpot! He must've missed his hometown's food, having not gone back there for a long time ;D

I haven't watched Navillera so I cannot compare it with this drama. This one is a bit on the light side though of course there are some sadness. Read the MDL synopsis first, it's different than this one, and you can think of try watching it or not :D

No Indo is not easier to learn than Japan cos they use informal language to sub also. For example: "no" in formal Indonesian is "tidak" but sometimes the sub uses informal Indonesian "gak"
