Yeah I am writing a recap article on Kikazaru Koi niwa Riyuu ga Atte right now, currently just outlining the characters and the aesthetics. The problem with doramas are the subs, many of them need downloading and some watchers don't like they have to download dramas. That's why it's difficult for me to write recaps on them as I want readers to get easy access. I haven't seen Colorful Love. Is it good?

Finally that now our article has finished you got a chance to watch dramas again ;D... yeah I was actually surprised that PP subbed it quite fast. By my experience watching their works sometime ago (Chef Hua is a delightful one) the sub was quite slow, but probably only one subber and now there are two in the team. And of course the drama should be interesting to make them sub it faster. Yeah, the 16 episodes 30 minutes each is sooo rare in Chinese dramas. Now since you brought that into the attention, isn't probably become popular in China (despite of the lack of marketing) because of the (short) length? who knows... But definitely need more short but fulfilling dramas in the future. Many times I watch dramas by FF/skip 1/2 of the length they're so tropey lol

you're right... meanwhile PP has finished subbing it long time ago... so I will just put the subbed link here cos I am very satisfied with their subbing. This is from a Chinese drama watcher who has watched tons of dramas with bad subbing lol

Yeah in Kikazaru Koi niwa Riyuu ga Atte (dang this is a long title) the FL is a fashionista and a fellow MDLers posted photos of every of her fashion in drama page lol. I will bring up the fashion part in my article too. I haven't heard about Jimi ni Sugoi! Koetsu Garu Kono Etsuko, so thanks for bringing it up, especially that now I see Ishihara Satomi in it. I just finished Love is Deep but not too impressed IMO

ok... I got it now. Yes a commenter up there brought this into my attention. Apparently recently Tencent picked it up from Sohu (original TV media) to release it online in Youtube. I heard the drama is popular now in China. The trailer I put in the link was by PP subber, so now Youtube took down the trailer. I wrote and submitted this article a long time ago, the subber was not even done subbing yet (only about 2/3) but I watched the rest raw since it's done airing. I will contact an editor to change the trailer link

Aaah... I know now! THANK YOU for bringing me to attention! ❤️ When the first time I watched this drama, Sohu is the main media as it was released by them. The drama was not popular yet. The fansubber picked it up and subbed it, so the trailer I put in is the one subbed by them. I wrote and submitted this article long time ago when the subber not even finished it yet (I watched raw). Now the drama becomes more popular in China I heard. They even think of making Season 2, though I have no clue how they will do it cos it seems by following the novel it should end here. Then the greedy Tencent took it, so now the trailer by the subber is deemed illegal by Youtube. I will contact the editor to change the link of the trailer. I have no clue how the subbing by others tho. But I still recommend you to watch it thru this subber because of the cultural and lingual explanation they provided ;D

Well, I think Tencent just want their dramas to pass censorship to get their production money back, so they make safe dramas now. I haven't seen ALP but I am thinking it also uses the trope typical to xianxia: "a guy has loved a girl for thousands of years" lol. Regarding Li Qin, you mean My Dear Guardian is bad? I am thinking of watching it after finish subbing but it seems to me the same as You Are My Hero. Hopefully her future drama Tears in Heaven is different tho! It's more like makjang to me which is not many in Cdramas lately. I will definitely watch TiH but I don't want SML to die, lol. Oh, and I just checked they just changed the synopsis! Sounds more interesting, lol

I know right! Just reading their synopsis makes you yawn already... same tropes. We only watch them cos so and so is the main lead! But I think this is something to do with the Chinese government censorship, so the production companies don't dare to be creative. They just copy the stories of past dramas that passed censorship and successful, so now become trope in Chinese dramas and bored the viewers to death, lol

No they don't steal: Viki pays for licensing/rights to sub and iQiyi is one of the official Chinese sites. I'm talking about other sites like dramacool, kissasian and others that copy from them ;D. I'm not sure if there are many subbers that explain the terms tho, I know a few do but only little explanation embedded in the scenes. This subber in particular reminds me Japanese-English subber blitzfansub who does the same for Japanese dramas ;D

Even if the drama is available it will be in illegal sites which they steal from original subbers. But like I wrote in the article, specifically for this fansubber that also explain some Chinese terms in their site only not on their subbed works, we will miss the info ;D
