Yeah I agree with you. Japanese dramas have their own uniqueness when making dramas so there is a possibility that they wanted FL to end up with SML, unlike in the mainstream story. I have not watched it cos I thought it will end next week but I will pick this up soon and throw my 2 cents opinion later.

Some ideas circulating in the net about the ending:
1. Japanese production team wanted to make the ending different than the original Taiwanese, and the Korean and Thai versions. So this is it.
2. With the COVID-19 pandemic the production schedule is canceled. Thus they made decision to air these pre-produced episodes first up to where it looks like a cliff-hanger ending, and it will be a second season.

It works and since the dialogues are short I google-translated, lol! Thank you so much for going the extra mile for the video! If people know that the ending is HE the rating will be higher than this. I'm putting this in my PTW and will watch it sometime in the future. At least I know the ending now!

lol same here it's been a while since I watched it cos it was one of my early dramas to watch. Well I'm really into drama costume, that can dock or boost up my rating by 0.5. Her dresses actually are kinda cute for a teenage girl year 2006. But this particular dress stands out the ugliness. It has an outline if it fits with the body it enhance sexiness but if it's too big (which hers is) looks like she has saggy breasts lol. Viewers commented about this one too. Where did you watch the ending? Unfortunately I saw it in Youtube and the scene only ends she walked into the carriage and he walked into the palace. The end credits and that's it. No one in comments said about HE. The recap also said they go their separate ways.

it was planned in the beginning for 3 seasons, as for the execution right now, idk...heard they were doing casting but everything is halted in China now because of the COVID-19.

I think this will be the only time I like Hu Yi Tian in a comedy, because he definitely suck in the romance department. I can't watch A Love So Beautiful because of him and Shen Yue, and didn't like his stiff acting (or I can say no acting) in The Handsome Siblings. Though amazingly he had more chemistry with his 'brother' than his love interest in THS. So probably will be like this too in this drama, he has more chemistry with Leon Zhang than Shane Yan, lol.

Your article is hilarious cos you did a lot to research the actors/actresses who look like the Taiwanese cast, lol. So much as I agreed with some comments not wanting another remake from another country (or any country), I am just being practical that the Taiwanese production company was almost bankrupt producing this cos they refused sponsors for PPL. This is applaudable to us viewers cos they wanted us to have the most ecstatic experience enjoying this drama without annoying commercial breaks and PPL items inserted into the scenes or scenes created specially for the PPL. Having said that, selling rights to other countries for their remake it's a practical decision to cover the cost or more profit coming in. Now about your cast... as I said you did a great job choosing the lookalikes. But keep in mind that the right actors/actresses are the ones who can nail the roles of (especially) CYR/HYX and LZW/WQS) very well, cos these two characters have many sides of personalities. I don't watch that many Kdramas to be able to agree/disagree or suggest other cast. Though I think I want to throw my 2 cents of choice of the director or screenwriter for the K remake: Director Lee Eung Bok and Screenwriter Kim Eun Sook, both have worked great Kdramas.
Lastly, just for fun... if they will make a K-remake for this drama, the Uncle's business place, instead of a cafe it will be a Subway sandwich franchise (for the PPL) LOL LOL LOL

I only watched 1 of the list: Pegasus Market. On the first day of this year as my choice drama to welcome the new year. And I was not disappointed. I binge-watched for 2 days and I laughed so hard I got stomach ache from it.

Sang Sang does not physically dies, cos since she was born she has been something special. Sage told Ning Que that Sang Sang is actually not 100% human, she is actually always a part of Hao Tian. I think the writer wants to emphasize the Yin and Yang thing according to Daoism and Confucianism beliefs, there is always light-dark, good-bad, blended in harmony. In the end of the novel Sang Sang is back but with different personality, no longer 100% devoted to Ning Que, doing her own thing, and as it says in the novel she is 'thick waist' that means fatter? I only worry which actress will be Sang Sang in the end of Season 3: Ireine Song or Yang Chao Yue? I prefer IS cos she's more experienced, had a great chemistry with the ML (both Arthur Chen and Dylan Wang), and was praised by Mao Ni (the novel writer) as able to portray Sang Sang character very well. If they cast YCY for the final Sang Sang in the end of Season 3, I don't think I will watch it, lol.
