You meant Meteor Garden 2018? That's not too bad, waaay too toned down from its predecessor Meteor Garden 2001 (Taiwanese version) since according to the producer Angie Chai (she is producers for both MGs) they had to comply with SARFT requirements, including no bullying, no flaunting wealth, no violence, no sexual harassment, etc etc. The rooftop scene when Dao Ming Si harassing Shan Cai is way scary like attempted rape in MG 01. Still people complained about the 2018 scene. All F4 picked up physical fights in other versions. Doomyoji Tsukasa is very violent. Goo Joon Pyo goes to school in helicopter and the Japanese F4 all have Roll Royce with chaffeurs driving them. The Joker card and bridge challenge in MG 2018 is too soft compared to the skull cards and bullying methods in other versions.

This movie is so cute I wish one day it will be made into a drama, especially showing the couple's life in the beginning, their love growth, as well as their individual character's growth.

Actually BOF was my first modern Asian drama completed (the first was actually Moon Embracing the Sun but it is a sageuk), and though wrong in many ways but it did not scare me to venture other Asian modern dramas afterwards. Bad but very entertaining, and I did not even feel bored or dragged at all ;D

The movie just finished filming. Hopefully will pass SARFT and be released soon!

Since I don't watch The King's Avatar (the trailer doesn't interest me) and I know Butterfly Blue's other novels are all about gaming. This makes me wonder too if LoA will be good as a historical drama. Unlike Mao Ni who wrote all historicals like The Nightfall (adapted to Evernight) and Joy of Life I know his novels are good and I will watch any adaptation of them. So we'll see how this goes, if the production team adapted the novel better or worse.

I do not read the novel since it's only translated a little and the story begins with Lu Ping and Su Tang's story. Then meet the other guys in the martial art school then later Qin Sang. Actually when I researched about the novel, it doesn't mention that the genre is romance, neither when this drama database was created. So I think the drama is changed from the novel with more dose of romance, for fan service. Which is kinda disappointing for me. Can we have a drama that is just pure action or adventure? So whether the creation of the three couples are in the book or not I don't know, since I don't understand Mandarin to read the whole novel.
