As a non-Korean, non-movie watcher, non-Oscar follower but an avid Asian drama fan, I am so happy with the winning of Parasite, the news gave me tears in my eyes. Well done, South Korean entertainment industry!!! Aside of this, I bet there will be more and more people finding our beloved kisskh website, just being curious of what's the Asian entertainment (movie/drama exclusively) is about ;D
I do not know her, but what she wrote regarding her husband is beautiful: "He is my longtime friend and lover" and "He is a reliable person who has always been by my side"
Thanks for the review. I watched the Korean version but was kinda disappointed. Want to watch another version (Thai or Taiwan) but not sure which one. Your review would definitely help me making decision. By the way, not Taiwan but China made their own version will be aired this end of the month. Here's the drama link: https://kisskh.at/31762-you-are-my-destiny I'm looking forward for this one cos both ML and FL have worked together in The Eternal Love (Chinese historical) and their chemistry was great there.
I looked at the list, added some in my PTW and was surprised that most added because of actors/actresses who played as main leads. I mean I watched them before in other dramas/movies so I wanted to watch them again. Only 3 dramas I picked because I am intrigued in the stories but don't recognized the leads (Holo Love, Husband in Law, and Moonlight Romance). Total 10 lol : 3 Korean, 2 modern Chinese (including fantasy), 3 wuxia/xianxia, 2 Thai. I am also no longer picked high school/college shows unless the story is really compelling.
I watched this because of Chris Wu, cinematography, costume, and make up seen in the trailer,... not knowing there is a deep culture root behind the ghost bride theme. I'm always curious of culture practices shown in the Asian dramas. Thanks for the in-depth article about it!
I actually wanted to watch this movie because I keep seeing reviews about it and because of the yellow hair dude. I don't mind scary tags I read in the page, but reviews/comments stated that the story is super confusing that you need to read the manga. Probably they should make it as a drama instead so they can clarify things.
When I saw this article I was not familiar with the drama... but when I checked my PTW list, it is already there since last year... how did it get there??? LOL. Thanks for the fun article and the video link! You covered a light-hearted romantic comedy with a depth on the story. Keep bring them on! Probably will watch it soon, I need a break from the Koreans and the Chinese :D
Unfortunately this movie caused Rebecca Tang to be banned for a few years by the Chinese government to play in any movie/drama or being an endorsement model. I found it when I watched her romcom Finding Mr Right.
