It's only 24 episodes so you won't get a complicated timeline like 40-episode xianxia. From the start, they're already close as FL tries many ways to get near to ML because the renegade spirits who have haunted her since she was little are afraid of him. They gradually get close to each other and by Ep 12-13, they realize they love each other. Several episodes after that there are characters who try to separate them since can't be together because he's immortal and she's mortal. Then there are major events happen and he goes back to the heavenly place. In the final episode, he's back to her in the mortal world. Happy end.

Ikr... with new Cdramas with popular actors/actresses airing this can easily bypassed by watchers since it was dropped all without promo. I started it without any expectation but curiosity and I was ready to leave if it was not interesting in Ep 1, lol. But the main plot seems different than other xianxias. Well, especially I keep going after I peeked into the ending 😉😉😉
