I understood your say on Pmr's actor, I didn't like him at first too but idk why kdrama directors only hire him for these marriage plots😂😂. If you are watching old, maybe you can try Mischievous kiss(1996), silent, the gifted(Thai series with no specific genre if I say). :)

In the webtoon it was that the mother who adopted her died soon after the adoption and her adopted father got soon married to the current mother(She had a child so maybe the husband cheated on his wife and was waiting for her death to bring her in)..
