Yes! This is I think what most people want to see too. The CP presented here is one of the more balanced ones I have seen in CDramas. Both the leads are independent, shrewd and cunning. I am loving it! Thing is that we can see LJL's sincerity despite his shrewd and cunningness, but we cannot really see RSB's sincerity to him. We know she is secretly happy and impressed by LJL but she is just too cold when they are in the same space. He took 3 blows from Grandma Rong for her, stood up for her, gets hurt on her account etc. Whereas when he is alone with her, he gets slapped, stomped on the foot, pushed away with 1 finger etc by her. Poor meowy! 🤭 So overall it feels cold on her side. And as you pointed out most dramas where the ML is cold it's only for the beginning. Ms Rong has been so cold throughout. Dang that gal! LOL

It seems like all the Rong girls are brought up to keep up appearances. Gal, you love the dude, if you could sneak out to his tea shop once a month to give child support, surely you can afford to let him take a look at your daughter who is now in the plantation? How about having him come over the plantation once a week to "harvest" tea and visit the little one. Give him his visitation rights!

I do wish that RSB would show some reciprocation to LJL's sincerity. She is like so repressed in her expression of love. We know LJL is RSB's preferred choice. Why else would she invite herself to spend the night in his servant's room or invite him to move into her quarters and give him that spa bath. Sure she will say is to keep an eye on him, but there was no need to move into her room, the side room would do. And all the other benefits like the pretty clothes she gifts him as her servant. Even that Steward guy doesn't get nice outfits, he only gets a uniform. So many opportunities to hug him and kiss passionately (when alone) but nope, she just acts cold. Dang gal, there is a Q here waiting to kiss LJL passionately on your behalf if you are not going to do it youself! 🤪🤭
