Trust me, I don't feel like I'm missing out. LoL. But maybe since you are familiar with it and like it, you can offer a better and more accurate description of what it tastes like. Someone asked a couple of days ago.
The sweet bread is definitely not to my liking. It's at the most okay(ish) when you know what to expect. My worst…
LoL! My shock came with what I thought was a regular slice of buttered white bread. Bite into it and sugary everything. Butter, bread, the look on my face. I thought it was a fluke until I also had a croissant. Not cool at all when you aren't mentally prepared, lol. I can just imagine the sugary cheese.
Have tried most of this,so I just scrolled through the whole thing but not until I've finished reading about the…
I wrote up above that I would use the bread portion for soups, not the whole thing. And really, shouldn't people eat things however they feel best? :-)
That was such an awesome, well-made article :D The cheesecake parfait cracked me up lol
I saw a cake slice topped one in person and was like "Why?". You make a mess trying to eat through the slice so you end up putting on a plate anyway, lol.
I love this article so much!!! It really makes me want to try everything on it!!! :)
Great thing is, you can try out omurice and okonomiyaki pretty easily at home. I say give it a try. Here's a fun recipe video for omurice to inspire you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcJlmhoYNfI
a.k.a. "Food we'll probably never eat!" Nice article though really makes me crave them.
Now, that's no way to think. I tend to think that when you know about something, you're aware of it when you actually do come across it. For all you know, you may end up seeking these unconsciously and find them. ;-)
You've made me hungry again, LOL. This is a very insightful article - it shows there's far more to Japanese cuisine…
So happy you enjoyed both articles! :-D
I actually didn't like miso at first either, but out of nowhere one day I started to love it. I think that can be the deal with fermented foods. In Japan, Calbee brands chips have some miso soup flavored ones that I absolutely love, but I couldn't find them when I actually went there. It was annoying, lol.
What a gastronomical treat this one is!!! Just reading your article makes me crave for those food and go to the…
I wouldn't say Calpis tastes terrible, but I really didn't like it. LoL. I still can't think of anything to compare it to in terms of taste. It was chalky and a little sour. There is actually a bit of carbonation, but it's very subtle. I'd encourage people to at least try it once if they don't have any dairy allergies
