It turns out that I’ve seen several dramas with this actor. For some reason, I kept confusing him with Li Dai Kun, even though they don't look very similar. Both of them, however, have that refined, elegant beauty that looks absolutely stunning in princely or general’s outfits. So far, the production is just as good as The Maid. The female lead is completely focused on revenge, and romance is the last thing on her mind.

Same here! The ML completely stole my heart and the FL is absolutely glowing. I’m already obsessed. Totally my type of drama! I highly recommend Aligned Reverence! It has amazing chemistry and two super cute couples. The romance is more subtle and soft, with really pretty, delicate kisses. Compared to The Architect, which has a much spicier vibe, this one is pure gentle sweetness.

For a split second I thought he was going to kill her. 😂 Thankfully, he only meant killing her stepmother’s lover. Instead of flowers and dinner, we’re going together to slit the throats of the people who hurt you. It perfectly captures the vibe of this unhinged couple’s relationship.

Something felt off to me too, so I went and checked the cast. Looks like the white-haired second male lead is gonna be just as tempting as the main guy. Apparently both of them are gonna fight like crazy over the FL. The production quality is a bit meh, honestly, but so far I'm actually enjoying this drama. Those 30 episodes are kinda worrying me though. Let's hope they manage to keep us hooked till the end.

I complained earlier in a comment about the lack of story, but it's actually worse. They tried to give us a story, but did it in a horribly clumsy way. It would've been better to just focus on the steamy moments, of which there are surprisingly few here. And while the kisses were good, the main couple's relationship lacked that spark. Really clunky direction and acting from the supporting cast. To have such hot and gorgeous actors like Fang Jin and Yan Zi Xian and waste their potential like that. An unforgivable crime.

That drama has a great pace. By episode 10, FL has already solved all the problems she had with her family. And married women with kids who become the object of ML’s affection are really a rarity in the drama world.

Good guess! In episode 10, FL finds out from her husband’s lover that on their wedding night she accidentally took an aphrodisiac that SML had made. When he showed up, he realized she’d already lost her virginity to another guy. They never actually consummated their marriage. So it’s safe to assume that the boy is ML’s son. It was also mentioned that ML became impotent for a while, probably after that wild night 😂 Edit: The passionate night between them took place before her marriage to the marquis, during some kind of poetic gathering organized by the princess. That’s when FL became pregnant. She probably married SML because she thought he was the father of her child.

In full-length dramas, there usually aren’t such passionate and tempting scenes. The creators of short dramas can allow themselves more freedom, and often the entire plot is simply about beautiful people and their hot interactions. In my opinion, the best love scenes and kisses in long dramas are in The Prisoner of Beauty; quite good ones, though not as great, can also be found in Fated Hearts.

Short dramas with well-made steamy scenes: Grab Your Love, Sinful Marriage, Into Your Heart, Rainkissed Fate, Forever Love, Destiny, Money Is Coming, A Familiar Stranger.

I get it. I'm a big fan of mini-dramas and I'm not looking for deep meaning in them. However, some are made with a higher level of quality, while others are poorly executed. I just expected more from this cast. We'll see how things unfold in the later episodes.
