From the drama’s description available on WeTV, one can safely assume that it has a happy ending. Though it might be the kind of happiness that only appears in the final minutes of the series.

He could see that the FL wasn’t a threat to his son, and a bond quickly formed between them. He already trusts her, so now it’s time for her to trust him. Hopefully, their romance will finally start for real.

Good point. The ML would likely have no qualms about destroying his wife to finally break free from her. Paradoxically, revealing this secret puts Shen Yuan Jin’s position at greater risk than the FL’s. Hopefully, tomorrow’s episode will resolve this matter once and for all in a truly satisfying way.

I’m hoping that her sister tricked her and that what she said isn’t true. Still, she knew exactly where to hit to hurt her deeply. Hopefully, the matter will be resolved in tomorrow’s episode. I’m putting my faith in the ML and I’m feeling good about it.

I don’t think there’s going to be a rift or major conflict between them. If anything, all of this should bring them even closer. Especially since there are only 6 episodes left. Still, I have to admit, today’s twist really shook things up, and it’s hard to predict what our girl should do next. I think she’s going to turn into an even bigger avenger and deal with her sister without mercy. And I totally agree, it definitely would’ve been smarter to start watching only after all the episodes were released.

I don’t think the ML is 100% sure, but he definitely suspects it. That’s why he’s digging into the whole story of her being locked up and how she escaped. Maybe what went down at the end of episode 20 will finally push them into a confrontation and we’ll get a confession from the FL. Or maybe there’s another twist coming.

That was a cruel and nasty move on her sister’s part. I hope she actually provoked and tricked her on purpose. For what she did, she honestly deserves to end up very badly. The good thing is, Pei Ji pretty much knows now that Fl is Shen Yu Qing and suspects she’s the mother of his child. He told his assistant to find out why Shen Yu Qing had been locked up in the aviary. He figures they put her there because she was pregnant. All in all, it was an excellent episode, but the ending came as a real shock. Both actresses were absolutely brilliant in that scene.

In episode 19, ML confessed to FL that he had fallen in love with her. She seems to return his feelings, but stays determined to follow her chosen path and carry out her ruthless revenge. She still refuses to reveal the truth about her real identity. The strong sexual tension between the two leads is present in every scene they share.

It’s quite possible that her so-called “sacrifice” was calculated, a way to fully win him over. If he were to lose his position, he’d also become less useful to her in the future. What I like is that in her revenge, the FL doesn’t take shortcuts or pick the safer options. After all this, their romance should finally be able to blossom fully.

In this episode, she also showed him that she had no intention of saving herself at his expense and completely understood his political situation. She didn’t let him sacrifice himself, even though he seemed ready to do so.

I hope that what happened in episode 17 was part of her plan. We could also see that the ML is finally starting to catch feelings for her.

We still don’t know what the writer’s planning. Are they just dragging out the confession between the leads to make it more dramatic, or simply teasing the viewers? Personally, I like that Pei Ji has his suspicions but isn’t completely sure. Maybe the FL doesn’t reveal her true identity because she doesn’t want to use her child as a bargaining chip with the ML. She wants him to love her as a woman, not just feel guilt and pity toward the mother of his child.
Right now both ML and FL are totally using each other, so maybe Shen Yu Qing prefers to keep their relationship “fake” to avoid getting too emotionally invested. If she admitted the truth, her son would be in even more danger until she gets her revenge. And if she saw the boy again, it could weaken her resolve and pull her away from those bloody plans. That’s why Shen Yu Qing’s stubbornness in still pretending to be the courtesan Xi Yan in front of the ML kinda makes sense. Otherwise, the revenge would feel way too easy.

Not yet, although there was a moment when he seemed to recognize her. He noticed her flower-shaped birthmark/scar, which is not always visible. The FL is hiding her true identity from him.

The ML has a wife, Shen Yuan Jin, who on their wedding night drugged him with an aphrodisiac and slipped her half-sister into his bed. He spends the night with her. Later, he only remembers the FL’s flower-shaped birthmark. He knows that he did not sleep with his wife and that she drugged him.

Strong start. FL’s revenge is very satisfying so far. She has a plan and is ruthlessly executing it. Good chemistry between the leads.

The princess tries to force the ML into marriage in episode 19, but she doesn’t succeed. The general has no concubines and loves only the FL.

In the upcoming episodes, we will find out that the FL did not actually harm her teacher.
