I really enjoyed this drama. Good music, good actors, good characterization , action, a plot (!) and handsome men. Well done. That's what happens when directors are not focusing on their actors fan service to make a drama.

I don't know if we will have a confirmation. I think both could be true but to me, regarding his state of mind and all the signs, it's clear. I chose to believe he chose his own departure with no regrets. ❤️🩹
I also find that it's more acceptable that he chose his own end neither en encounter with an animal? And both can be true. Him committing suicide and then being eaten by a bear. To me it's a parallel with CY's story of the bird returning to the ground and the forest. So more poetic.

Once you get all the names it will get easier. And this drama is quite poetic and metaphoric, so a lot of things are suggested and not told. It's a wonderful drama though, it's worth it.

I can't accept it was a stupid encounter with a bear and a accident Too many signs show that he was ready to leave this life.
I can deal with a suicide because it was hinted in previous episode and it would be his choice to leave after finding the flower. But if it's just an accident, then it is really tragic because it was not his choice. So it would be more difficult to accept for me. I think he commited suicide but then was found by a bear like in CY's story with the bird. And then it's poetic because he sent back in the earth as he said.
That's why they want to portray here. That depression wears a mask of happiness. He was joking and laughing with his brother after crying and repeating that he was also killed 3 years ago. He went back to pretending 2 minutes after. It's not always what it seems.
