Yep! The problem was never about her still alive, but the several attempts he did to kill her. The keyword is SEVERAL, not just one. I guess the comedic situation helped toning it down a bit. But if we removed it, that was creepy as hell. Imagine if there’s no plot armor, she would’ve been gone for sure.
