I was so ready for SYM turning dark! If that physician couldn't save NH, I think we'd get another CGH, just a lot more unhinged. The look in her eyes when she said she'd go after them one by one π₯Ά Alas! It's a romantic comedy, so that's never gonna happen π
I have to say, they handled the three stabbing scene beautifully. I tried to guess several possibilities, but never thought they'd use "this" against "that". That was a very smart move! Gotta give Writer-nim BIG applause ππ»ππ»ππ»
Also eps 34 preview. I knew that man wasn't simple, but didn't expect that he is who he is. Damn! π€―
Yes, I love SYM so much. I'm happy she isn't someone who what we call in Indonesian as bucin tolol πJoke aside,…
Yep! The problem was never about her still alive, but the several attempts he did to kill her. The keyword is SEVERAL, not just one. I guess the comedic situation helped toning it down a bit. But if we removed it, that was creepy as hell. Imagine if thereβs no plot armor, she wouldβve been gone for sure.
This drama really be testing our principle. Like, would you still stand your ground until the end, or would you comprise at the slightest show of tenderness, even if the man has hurt you time and time again? In this case, Iβm glad SYM is very persistent with her believe, until she got the right amount of time to change her perspective.
30 episodes in and I can honestly say that SYM is my favorite costume drama FL of all time (followed by Xiao Man…
Yes, I love SYM so much. I'm happy she isn't someone who what we call in Indonesian as bucin tolol π
Joke aside, IMO SYM is very logical and humane, very relatable. Her stand was clear: survive first, be alive! Only then could she think about love. This choice might make her heartless, but for me it's the right choice to make, given her situation. That's why, 30 eps is the most logical duration for her coming around her misunderstanding. Because in reality, it does take a long time to trust someone you deemed as untrustworthy.
Everything looking real nice and cozy in today's episodes which is sus as hell, I'm mentally preparing for the…
I think we've watched too many dramas, experienced too many twists and turns, been played by writers-nim too many times, that we developed trust issue π
Emperor: "Why did you never explain it in all these years?"
I swear this is the most infuriating sentence coming from him I wanna flip my table right then and there. Like, seriously? If only you weren't so deaf and blinded by your stupidity, you wouldn't have accused a nine-year-old boy, who happened to be your own son, in the first place. God, I'm so mad with him aaarrrggghhh π πΉ
DAMN! I can't believe I still have hope in that trash emperor π€£π€£π€£ After all he's done, I still thought that the trap was his plan. But, nope! It's all Nan Heng's. And he's still cruel to his own son, practically shattered my tiny heart π
Actually, nothing has changed. Everything in the og script has happened. Yimeng said it herself in eps 24. The…
That's understandable. Yimeng hates NH. This feeling stems from fear and distrust. Her prior knowledge of the og script made it worse too. Though now she sees that NH loves her, she needs time to reorganize her heart. I see it as a mechanism of self-defense. At least, she didn't stab him with dagger anymore, just with words π
the hate towards nh was understandable at first because she is an audience like us and knows the whole script.…
Actually, nothing has changed. Everything in the og script has happened. Yimeng said it herself in eps 24. The difference is, NH fell in love with Yimeng, that's why she survived.
In the latest eps, if you observe her closer, she actually doesn't hate him anymore. She just scared of what would happen if she decided to acknowledge her feelings towards NH, of what would "the script" make them do. That's why she still pushed him away.
