Dear Lord, I finally finished watching. I feel like I just went through. I donโt even know like a washing machine,…
Honestly, I'm not very enthusiastic with this upcoming amnesia arc. So, yeah, I, too, hope it ends quickly. Otherwise, I might just drop it and go straight to the final episode ๐ TWO amnesia arcs in one drama is just too much to handle, sigh ๐ฉ
Alright - finally boned the last three episodes and finished this drama. My Final thoughts: This is a very romantic…
Agreed! I expected more complicated or heart-wrenching plot, considering the genre. But, it turned out to be a very romantic drama. I think it's one of the happiest xianxia I've ever watched so far. And the ending certainly wasn't the best one out there.
Nooo don't hate him please ๐ฅบ In the novel, he's a good man. The drama version didn't capture well of his desperation and upright character. Blame the way they wrote him ๐ข
what I hated was the small times of episodes, the production team could add some more minutes to each episodes…
CMIIW but HRF drama ver. is different from novel ver. In the drama, he was quite smart and had a determination to prove himself, which made his character more interesting. In the novel, however, he's actually very stupid & weak *sigh* But one thing is the same: he was shameless. My hand was itchy to smack his head ๐
I read the novel several years ago so there might be some points I already forgot, but Rundu arc especially stood…
Yes. I'm fine too with the double standard or their futile plans narrative. It's just a shame they failed to capture Li Kuang's complicated character. He was a good man but the situation forced him to (almost) do something so disgusting. I don't know if it's the writing or the actor's acting ability, but I didn't see his dilemma, hopelesness, pain, or even regret as in the novel. Only anger and impatience.

I guess. While I can accept the censorship reason, it's just a shame they reduced Li Kuang character to be a mere oppresor of the weak in the process ๐ข
Xj vs hrf (hy) as in general were they in the same par, or were their differences in power as in military power…
If I remember correctly, Xiao Jue has always been a level above He Yan since the 1st timeline. But they were equally famous for being great generals. Also, He Yan as Feihong didn't involved in court. She always stayed in the barrack. CMIIW
Gotta say Rundu arc is a complete dissapointment for me. They didn't show the desperation Li Kuang experienced…
I read the novel several years ago so there might be some points I already forgot, but Rundu arc especially stood out in my mind because of how menacingly real the description of the situation was.
In the novel, Li Kuang was so desperate to defend Rundu. But because of the siege, they ran out of food. He asked He Rufei for help, but as expected, the jerk didnโt come. In his desperation, he got an inspiration from a general of ancient times. He intended to sacrifice his dear concubine to feed his famished soldiers so they could continue to defend the city. Yep, he (almost) resorted to cannibalism. Luckily, He Yan and the gang came and prevented the horror from happening. I remember I felt so sick when I read this part that I had to pause and took a breath.
What Li Kuang (almost) did was absolutely abhorrent, but if I remember correctly, he was an upright character with strong patriotism. And the drama version failed to capture his dilemma.
Gotta say Rundu arc is a complete dissapointment for me. They didn't show the desperation Li Kuang experienced in the face of danger and hunger. Instead, he was portrayed as a mere complete bastard, which didn't do his character justice ๐ He's one of General Feihong's most trusted comrades, for heaven's sake! There IS a reason why He Yan was so adamant in helping him against all odds ๐ฉ
Because they are in the same genre, which is mystery and investigation. When you read the tags, it'd create some…
Too much romance, not dark enough despite the genre. The characters are too OP, hence no character development that I can relate to. The cliche, like FL's granted the princess title so that she has the same standing as ML (this is sooo romance ๐ข) whereas IMO she's perfect the way she is, and the ending was so predictable. Also, the camera work really bothering me.
P.S.: Don't like the drama doesn't mean hating the actors/tresses โ๐ป
Why am I reading "disappointments" about The Coroner's Diary here? CD IS A GREAT DRAMA! And this one probably…
Because they are in the same genre, which is mystery and investigation. When you read the tags, it'd create some kind of expectation. And if it didn't meet the initial expectation, it'd make you dissapointed. That's what happened with CD for me.
I'm a bit dissapointed in CD as it wasn't as dark and creepy as I expected it to be, so I hope TWD will focus more in the mystery side rather than the romance ๐๐ป The darker, the better ๐คฉ
