Point.Though tbh, NH from original script really seemed a jerk compared to NH of new/current script.
Yep! NH of new script is painted as some damaged, tragic hero who has cold face yet warm heart. His pain and suffering really tug at our hearts. That's why, audiences tend to forget his bad deeds in the og script AND the beginning of new script.
IMO, Iโm actually happy that Song Xiaoyu is cruel to Nan Heng. I see it as some kind of justice for Song Yimeng in the original script. Just letโs be frank, NH in og script was a jerk and he deserved to suffer. But SYM was helpless. She couldnโt do it herself because sheโs weak and could only accept her fate. So if SXY fell in love with NH in, letโs say, 15 eps, I would be pissed like hell.
Now, enter the new script. Here, Nan Heng canโt do anything as he pleases, because Song Xiaoyu actually stands up and faces him head on. You try to kill me, I try to kill you. You deceive me, I deceive you. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. But, hey! Now that theyโve done the same bad things to each other, maybe they can start to see each other better. And, some lovey-dovey scenes, maybe? Hehehehโฆ
But he HAS done something. Many things, actually. He approached her with ill-intention. He wanted to manipulate…
And wise too. She might appear silly, but she definitely wise. She knows NH is dangerous, so she has to protect herself first. Honestly, we women have to have this kind of wisdom. If you know a man is dangerous, then don't trust him easily, even if he seems to be good to you.
Uummm... but he killed her while she was with his child in the og script? And tried to kill her MULTIPLE TIMES…
Even so, the fact that NH tried to kill her in BOTH script didn't change. What do you want her to do, then? Smiling brightly everytime they meet? Or fall head over heels at the slightest tenderness he showed? Dude, it's murder we're talking about here. No one in their right mind wants to be anywhere around their possible murderer, duh -_-
i had high expectations but seriously the FL is ruining it for me. first she is behaving like a retard .. accusing…
But he HAS done something. Many things, actually. He approached her with ill-intention. He wanted to manipulate her (even as far as forcing her to meet him), broke her engagement, and worst of all, tried to kill her multiple times. And those are in the new script, not the original one. Then he fell in love with her, that's why he softened towards her. Had he not, do you think SYM would still be alive at this moment?
This, also why do people forget in the original script, NH at the beginning saved SYM and appeared all good and…
My point exactly. You just need to rewatch eps 1 and 2, and you'll understand where she comes from. For me, the message is clear: Don't trust anyone who's hurt you easily! In addition, NH in the og script has a big red flag on his forehead. If it were me, I wouldn't want to be anywhere around him either.
You know what? SYM, is really on my last nerve. She has the audacity to give him attitude about how he played…
Uummm... but he killed her while she was with his child in the og script? And tried to kill her MULTIPLE TIMES in the new one? So, what can she do other than mistrust him? And as far as I remember, it's actually NH who always try to approach her in the first place, and with ill intention, mind you. She never wants anything to do with him. Blaming her for being wise (don't trust the man who's hurt you) just doesn't feel right :')
Some might want him and NH to be back as friends, but no! He's beyond redemption. Multiple times of assasination attempt, fabricating evidence, defamation, breaking into a prince's residence, not to mention rude behaviour toward said prince. If only the emperor weren't so biased, he would've died several times already. Sure, it's necessary for NH to clear out the misunderstanding. Not for them to reconcile, but for NH himself. And CGH needs to be called out for everything he's done.
On other notes, as much as I hate CGH, I love the actor so much. His beautiful face when he talks so righteously is so infuriating ๐ He's done a very good job in grating my nerves. Well done, Wang Youshuo ๐๐ป
It's about time Yimeng knows LSL's true identity, so we can move forward to "rebellion" scene, and, maybe, some sweet moments with our beloved NH? 'Cuz we really need that, please ๐ญ
Seeing all the comments sympathizing for NH makes a lot of sense. In ep 1, the MLโs agent complained that NHโs…
Ooohh, now that you said it, it does make sense. On the surface, the manager's demands seems unreasonable. But imagine if she didn't do that, and Nan Heng is portrayed just like in the og script, we will definitely hate him to the bone, just like FL did. But here we are. Crying, symphatizing, falling in love with ML despite of the bad things he made FL went through in eps 1 ๐
Once again, I have to give big applause to the screenwriter for playing with our psychology so smoothly ๐๐ป
but how is it taking her so long to adjust to changes when all the characters hv been so different to wat she…
Again, FL has big trust issue. Like, BIG big. And the fact that ML is a manipulative character doesn't help either. But saying she didn't change at all isn't right either, because we can see in eps 17-18 that she's softening. She started to understand why he is the way he is. Although just a little, but it really gives impact to whole FL's character. Be patient guys, we even haven't reached eps 20 yet. Let's enjoy this journey together ๐โ๐ป
Might be unpopular opinion, but I love how the emperor is just straight up cruel ๐ I'm so used to emperors like in Blossoms in Adversity or The Princess's Gambit who are cunning and cold. NH's father, in addition to cunning & cold, is very explosive. He shows biasness very straightforwardly and doesn't hold back when showing hatred toward NH, which is IMO very uncommon. And fresh ๐
Besides the main leads, the support leads in this drama are awesome too. They might be funny, or silly, or sly, or heartless at first glance, but if we look further, they're actually very deep characters. We have several doubts against CGH's late father, suspicions toward NH's uncle. CGH who seems to be sincere might actually hide cruelty under that beautiful face. I honestly didn't expect NH's mother to be so soft and docile, considering her high status & powerful maternal family ๐ And SYM's father intrigues me the most as I can't guess his mind, like, at all. The screenwriter has done a great good job, and the actors playing the roles are excellent too.
Honestly, SYM is too soft-hearted here. She even said she didn't really want to hurt him, like ๐ฉ (eps. 17).…
True. Rather than her annoying prejudice, the forced plot is what I'm more worried about. At first, NH forced to save SYM feels hillarious. But when SYM forced to beg her father, that's when I realised that the forced plot is no joke. What if when they already accepted each other, then the plot forced them to turn each other just for the sake of those popular scenes? It intrigues me, but also scares me ๐ซ

And the fact that he manipulates her many times both in the og script AND the new script... Well, I don't blame her for having big trust issue to NH. For me, SYM is wise for raising her defense as high as the sky.
Btw, stellar performance from Wang Youshuo. His acting made me hate his character so much. Hats off! ๐๐ป
But I agree with you, Daddy Song is one of the MVPs in this eps, along with the Nightwalkers ๐๐ป

But, because you're smart and reasonable, I forgive you this time. Please be good to our SH.

Ah, I love this drama very much โค๏ธ
