Some political intrigues are obvious and easy to understand, so people think it's well-written. It's a real rebirth story about how FL changes her and other's fates in the second life. But the screenwriter had to add the modern plot to pass the censorship. (rebirth is not allowed in cdramas since real committing suicide cases for rebirth). I usually ignore this plot when watching cdramas.

Her nick name, only family members can call it. Shou means longevity. Gu means girl/Miss. So the literal translation is Ms. Longevity. It's a bit hard to translate properly due to cultural difference.
