Idk, i just want Seven to act in a historical palace related drama. Besides, i also want Seven to act in xianxia drama. It's a loss if Seven never acted in xianxia in her whole career period

Her dramas get airing date very fast. She only filmed two dramas in a year. This year, she had two dramas airing in the span of 3 months. Some dramas get airing date less than a year. There are many drama rumours, but she hardly picked up scripts she dont like. She is not bound (contracted) to any capital/big agency/broadcasting platforms, so she is not obligatory to pick up what she dont likes. She dont have time to accumulate many dramas in her stock, because it gets released out quickly.

So, i hope the director and screenwriter are capable enough to fit this into 40 episodes with good pacing and comprehensive plot. The novel is too long, i wish it is translated well into drama. There are still times before opening the group, maybe they can review the script and fix what is necessary. I dont want this drama to be longer than 40 eps, that it has to be divided into two parts or rushed towards the ending. I want it to be just enough for 40 episodes drama, with adequate pacing.

My notion. I am satisfied enough with this ip i guess. It is not a popular ip, so it has no big expectation towards the story unlike Jinxinsiyu. I hope this drama can be an underdog like Under the Power. UTP was not a popular novel when it was first adapted too. The drama makes it popular. Though UTP's novel is very charming, the author was just unknown that the novel was not that famous before the drama😅. Jinxinsiyu's novel is a big ip, with very large fanbase, it got criticisms from the novel's fans when the drama deviate from the story in the book (drama deviate from novel to pass mainland censorships). Shujinrenjia's author is already well-known, the ip is just okay i guess, one thing that differentiate it from typical drama is it promotes cultural art of shujin brocade and sichuan trademarks. I hope the art promotion is well-translated in the drama

I cant believe this guy is actually so young😭. He always played teacher in drama, he acted as physics teacher in Seven Tan's drama back then in With You 2016. Turned out he is the same age as Seven😭

I understand because the book is actually ranked no. 1 views in china novel platform. It is a big ip with large young readers . It has it's appeal

Based on your drama preference, i just had a feeling that maybe ABAY might not be your drama type. Seven has a pattern these days for choosing a professional/realistic scripts instead of pure idol romance. Even if ABAY has romance, it wont be the usual giddy cliché idol romance. Just my opinion, that's why she picked up the script. So if anyone is expecting usual idol c-drama, you should brace yourself🙂

I heard the original book author was very young when she first wrote the book, hence, the plot, and the lines. It's a big ip though, popular with younger readers.

I watched Lusi in Who Rules the World and liked her in Romance of Tiger and Rose, but i cant get her in Hidden Love. WIFTY is in my list to watch. If you like this kinda drama, i think you'll like Here We Meet Again and The Love You Give Me.

I've not watch Shen Yue's and WIFTY dramas but i heard good things about them. But one similar thing i noticed about Seven, Shen Yue, and WIFTY fl is that they all have sweet girl-next-door image.

If it is your personal preference, then it is okay then. But Seven never spoiled any drama with her acting. In fact, she has received many awards for her acting skill. She has received award when she was a supporting role in Whirlwind Girl, and she is the only one 90's actor/actress to ever nominated for best actress in Magnolia Award for her role in Go Ahead, which usually nominees are respected older actresses like Sun Li, Zhao Liying, Reyizha, Ni Ni, etc.

She is one of the most natural acting actress in younger generation. She has received best actress award in costume drama for her performance in Under the Power and best actress award for modern drama in Go Ahead. She also received breakthrough acting award recently in 2023 for her role in Flight To You from CCTV platform. She is the only one who has received award in Flight To You team so far.

Besides, all her 4 star dramas (drama airing on TV) are all included in Top 3 TV station best cvb rating for the year. Go Ahead is Hunan TV history crown with 1.189% for 2020, with no other drama has surpassed the rating yet in the hunan TV station until today. Master of My Own was Dragon TV Top 3 cvb rating for 2022, with 0.83%. Flight To You was CCTV 8 Top 2 with 1.87% this 2023 year. She is relying on her acting talent since her debut by going to auditions. And her hard works paid off with all her dramas datas are consistently ranked high, and she received many acting awards. That is without signing to big agency, marketing gimmick, or cp fanservice.

Yeah, she is not liuliang(traffic) actor, and her visual may be inferior compared with all your faves, but she never promotes her beauty. She never acted as ethereal beauty in any of her dramas. She dont do marketing, or buy hot search. She is just an actor, she acts, received acting awards for her performances, and consistently have high TV audience rating in her dramas.

Btw, about Go Ahead kisses, she is portraying her role as Li Jianjian. You cant possibly want her to break out of character or out of script. She received a lot of acting awards for her role in Go Ahead because she embodied Li Jianjian's character. As for Road Home, the actor is good at kissing, but he is known as someone who is very hard to have cp feeling with his co-stars in mainland. Many people think he has the least chemistry with Seven the most out of all Seven's co-stars. Plus, his love life (real life gf) was revealed last year when they were still filming Road Home.

He is dating publicly. It even decreases the cp feeling impression in the drama. In my opinion, Seven has the most chemistry in With You 2016 and Under the Power co-stars. While the rest dramas are about the same rank, Road Home is her least cp feel. Both leads just made the drama with their acting skill alone. They are both great actor. Before i forgot, Seven received acting awards for The Fox's Summer too. And it was a hit that it was remake into Thailand version. My Mr. Mermaid has considerable csm rating when it was aired on MangoTV.

What type of drama do you like her in then though? Her cp chemistry in any drama has never disappoint me yet since With You 2016, My Mr. Mermaid, the Fox's Summer, Under the Power, Go Ahead, The Sword and The Brocade, and even in slow burn like Master of My Own, Flight to You, and Road Home. Luyi Jinxia couple from UTP, Geng Geng YuHuai from With You 2016, XiaoJian in Go Ahead, XiaoTing from Flight to You, ChenXiao from Road Home, which of them is not iconic? Which of them failed to have chemistry with her?

She has paired with younger actors in With You 2016, Go Ahead, Fox's Summer, My Mr. Mermaid, none look out place. She can also form chemistry with 10+ years older actors in The Sword and the Brocade and Flight to You. Road Home actor is known in mainland as someone who is really hard to get cp feeling with anyone, but Seven still did it. She can even form cp with Wulei when they were supporting roles in Whirlwind Girl. Well, at least, Seven Tan is known as someone who has cp chemistry back-to-back with all her co-stars so far from modern to costume drama, from young to older actors. She has not fail any yet since her supporting role till her leading role. It will be a record if she has no chemistry here.

So... I just want to ramble about Seven Tan here. She is a quiet type, she dont talk loudly/talks softly, introvert, likes to stay at home, (all of those reasons are why she dont attend many variety shows, she only attend one where the mc is her friend like He laoshi and Xueqin in MaoXueWang). Her real personality is different from her talkative drama character, people were surprised when Under the Power leads attend Back to Field variety show, because in the drama LuYi (Allen) is the silent type, while Jinxia (Seven) is the talkative one. In reality, Allen Ren is the talkative one while Seven Tan is the quiet one.

She likes smiling though, and is very generous. She likes buying drinks for everyone on the filming set, and always participating in public welfare (charities). The known ones are when she participated in the kids left by their parents campaign last year, and this year, she had donated to Hebei which were destroyed by floods, donated to HeilongJiang and send the supplies with the medical team, and were also spotted making donations to schools that need reconstruction in her hometown.

She is also known to not following liuliang route because of how little costume drama she has filmed. She only has 2 costume dramas. Usually, actors/actresses filmed many costume dramas because that is the easiest way to gain fans (filmed many costume dramas, marketing, buying hot search, attend red carpet/brand shows). And no marketing, or variety shows guesting during its airing.

Anyway, Seven might not have large fandom like traffic stars ( i mean all her actions has never follow traffic star like how little her costume drama is, not buying hot search, no marketing, not going to red carpet, dont attend variety shows, not signing to big agency), but she has large passersby audience. People is acknowledging Seven's popularity with passersby because Road Home is considered a flat drama, slow pace, with no dog fights, and her co-star is someone who has never had a star(TV) drama before Road Home. Seven carried the rating because of her popularity with TV audience. Anyways, Seven has good reputation as a good actor on TV, that's why she has large audience and never fail to be top 3 rating every time her drama is aired on TV. Not everyone can do that, and based on the list cnetz made, there are only 4/5 actors/tresses who had 100% all their star dramas in top 3 satellite TV, top 5 cctv, and the rest are all older actors such as sun li, zhao liying, and zhang yi.

Btw, most of Seven's dramas are having n round broadcasting in many countries. The Sword and the Brocade was broadcasted again on Taiwan GTV and has the highest rating among shows on its primetime, it was broadcasted last year on Taiwan too but on another channel, and the channel has the highest rating at its primetime too. Master of My Own was broadcasted along with the Sword and the Broadcast at GTV channel at another airing time, it also reached highest rating during it's two finale episode. Anyways, i cant count how many Seven's dramas are playing on TV channels around the world because it feels like there is new announcement every week that her drama is playing in some country.

The Sword and the Brocade surpassed most of the S+ budget drama results in 2021 and 2022, and it was only just a S budget drama. Seven Tan also received breakthrough award for her role in Flight to You this year, from CCTV. The only person from Flight to You team has received award so far.

Btw, Seven has many classic character (many people remember her character) in drama, Geng Geng from With You 2016 is considered classic, Yuan Jinxia Under the Power, Li JianJian from Go Ahead, and even Cheng Xiao in Flight to You.

So, Seven has not yet join any group. But she has been going around doing public welfare. Someone found her name in the list of people donating to Hebei which was heavily destroyed by floods, was seen escorting of a group of medical team charity to HeilongJiang who will set up free clinics in the area. HeilingJiang was also also a disaster area. Turned out Seven also donate to the charity foundation team to HeilongJiang.

After that fans saw her going back to her hometown, Luzhou, Sichuan, fans thought she'll be spending her vacation time to celebrate her father's birthday. Maybe i just want Seven to act in a light- hearted/realistic comedy short modern drama. Not idol romance, just light hearted family drama

Go Ahead has many complicated details indeed. They pay attention to even slightest details decorations in the room. GA was not high budgeted drama, but the team is excellent. That's why i think the most important is the acting skill and the script. UTP was also low-budget, and the plot was meh, but the chemistry and acting skill of leads made people stay watching the drama.

I read on weibo, investors dont know MoMO was going to do well. Hence, ppl product they used/discussed in the drama like that thermos and the supporting actors on the subway were all staffs. It was a surprise that MoMO was Dragon TV top 3 annual rating drama because the director was new, and it was just an A level drama. MoMO plots have good discussions on wb too.

Just like Flight to You this year. It was just an S level drama, and the industry dont have high expectation on it. It was a shock for the industry that FTY surpassed 2% cvb rating because none urban drama had ever done that.

If i'm not mistaken, JinXinSiYu was also in similar case that Tencent dont expect that an S level pure webdrama surpassed most of the S+ budget drama for the whole year. That's why JinXinSiYu got the Tencent award, because the webcast playback topped most drama on 2021, and JinXinSiYu was only an S drama.

Seven is the low investment, high return. At this rate, most of Seven's dramas are dark horse imo. She is not going traffic is by her own choice keeping low-profile, bc she can do it if she wants to since her first leading drama, With You 2016 or UTP and GA explosion. She likes to disappear when she dont have drama airing😭. She dont even promote her drama on many variety shows like most actors/actresses. She dont even do cp or many offline event. Nor she signed to any platform to receive good script. She dont even act in many costume drama😞. Idk how many times i've repeated UTP and JinXinSiYu bc Seven only have those 2 costume drama.

Just to fill up the empty schedules before shujinrenjia. Since Seven already did urban/workplace/romance modern drama, she should do some family/comedy/light-hearted modern drama. Even better if it is a star drama.

Yes. A modern drama is preferable while waiting for shujinrenjia because it can start-up fast without long preparation.

I still want Seven to hold on to shujinrenjia though because imo the team and theme has big potential. Original novel might not be a big ip and old-fashioned, but it has good cultural theme. Screenwriter should focus more on shu brocade competition, instead of pure giddy romance. Besides, i like all the team members announced on shujinrenjia so far. I just want Seven to find a fast boot drama while waiting for shujinrenjia because her stock is desperately low.
