The Fox's Summer was another low-budget but it was successful that the ip was bought by Thailand for remake. My Mr. Mermaid had considerable csm rating in Mango? Hunan tv if i'm not mistaken. UTP Seven's first costume drama was also low-budget, everyone knows it is a big hit webdrama with high webcast.

Go Ahead was also low budget family drama, but it was phenomenal. DMS was low budget too. The Sword and the Brocade was just s level budget drama, considered mediocre compared to s+ budget drama, but TSaTB's results far exceeded most s+ budget in tencent drama.

TSaTB webcasts are usually used as a standard. If i'm not mistaken, TSaTB was the only small budget drama among the s+ results drama in tencent 2021, that's why TSaTB got the tencent award. Plus, TSaTB webcasts far exceeded the s+ budgeted drama. Master of My Own was also low budget. It was only A level if i'm not mistaken. Just like UTP's A level budget drama. The platform was not expecting the high cvb rating when it was aired on TV.

Flight to You was also only s level budget drama. The investors dont have high expectation for urban drama, but FTY exceeded the expectation with high cvb rating 1.88 on CCTV. They even broke 2, first time in history for urban drama to break 2 cvb rating. That's why FTY is regarded as dark horse drama for this year, because the drama exceeded expectation.

Idk much about Road Home, but idt it goes anywhere near s+ budget either. Though, Road Home is still top 1 hunan tv cvb rating for 2023. Road Home achieved that with no promotion and only 30 eps. The casts dont even get together except when the drama finished airing and Seven was not even there😅.

Overall, Seven has small budget, but high return drama. Plus, all her dramas are bought by other countries tv for airing. The Sword and the Brocade is airing on Taiwan major channel right now, and it became rating championship for two days ep 1&2 consecutively for its airing time. They also bought Master of My Own for airing on the channel. All Seven's dramas are excellent.

Though i think the latest rumoured one has the highest probability if the director is truly what they said.

Seven values her freedom the most. Actors/actresses who signed to big agency or platform can be bound to act in a drama even if they dont like the script. Though, for me i just want Seven to take more costume drama because i like costume🥲.

It's a shame she dont have many costume drama. I hope she'll act in xianxia while she is still young. Some people said that Seven's face dont suit costume/xianxia drama. But all Seven's costume drama are hit. Plus, not everyone acted in xianxia drama is a big beauty.

Indeed, costume drama attract more fans. Costume is c-drama specialty. People tune in to c-drama to watch costume xianxia, wuxia, and historical.
Tbh, i'm not much a fan of modern setting, but since i like Seven's acting, i just watch her drama.

S+ projects are usually reserved for xianxia and wuxia, but usually the roles are also reserved for actors/actresses with connection and resources. Mostly liuliangs, big agency actors, and people who signed contract with the platform like Tencent, Huace, Mango or Youku. Seven is working alone, so her resources are limited. I'm sure many platforms actually offered her contract since all her drama in any platform received good results. But i understand Seven values her freedom the most. She probably dont want to be forced to act in a script she dont like when she signed contract to agency or platform.

Heard the manager rejected the script herself without showing to Seven. That costume drama actually was fixated to get Seven to act in that drama, so they turn that script back to Seven. But by the time, Seven already signed another drama. That costume drama was filmed in the same period with MoMO. Around March 2021?

Another rumours said that, other actress company paid Seven's manager to not show that script to Seven, so that they can hijack the script😅. I remembered Seven was rumoured for months for that role in 2020. That drama was quite persistent in getting Seven to act as fl because the role matched very well with Seven's character and image. Especially after Seven's hit with Jinxia and Jianjian's character.

Thanks. Shujinrenjia is going back and forth with male lead, i have hard time fixing my focus to which actor. It's probably going to be between those rumoured two right?

As much as i'm proud of Seven's achievements all these years without signing to big agency, i actually dont like Seven's studio. They are quite useless in resources or demands. Plus, the questionable manager/staff FXY that misclicked like to black post of other celeb and rejecting drama scripts without showing to Seven first. They have been holding Seven since With You 2016. I just think Seven can do better if her studio is not that useless. Seven has so much potential and acting skill. All her achievements are by herself. I dont think her studio even helped tiny bit😌😭.

Sometimes i envy other actors/tresses resources and marketing😭.

It's July, and we still have no official announcement. Seven's ex-costar have joined new group in early June. Yet shujinrenjia still have no official announcement🥲. We are even arent sure if this is really Seven's cake. Last year, 3 costume dramas slipped by Seven and she accepted another modern drama after shooting 3 modern drama. She had shoot 4 modern drama continuously for 3 years

I'm voting for ABAY to be a webdrama instead of airing on satellite TV. Less regulations and censorship. Plus, there is no loss for XK and Seven if ABAY is aired online instead of TV. XK's next drama Story of Joy with YZ already looked like it is planned for TV audience, and Seven can always shoot another drama for TV. She does not lack star drama. If ABAY is aired online, there is no loss. We can get better scenes and censorship. As for satellite TV, that can be their next drama, SOJ for XK and maybe shujinrenjia for Seven.

You know what? I kinda dig abay to be webdrama instead of satellite tv. There is less regulations and censorship. I dont mind the streak, Seven can always shoot another satellite tv drama. Maybe shujinrenjia can be a satellite tv drama, plus for XuKai, his Story of Joy with YZ looked like it is planned for TV audience. There is no loss if ABAY is aired online. I feel like ABAY turning into webdrama is a better idea.

I dont look down on female centric drama or slice of life. In fact i like them. But i think these casts lineup look too good to be true. Plus, wont there be billing issue? Will Tong Yao be 2nd billing or BJT 4th billing after ZYT? Idk i love powerful lineup, c-ent system is too confusing. Since he have a hit with destined, he might want to focus with male centric drama.

Then Bai Jingting probably wont be in this drama. He can be first billing in a suspense/mystery drama, there is no reason for him to be supporting role in a female centric drama

Seven and Vin seemed about to be true. I think Vin is most likely the male lead of this drama. Last time, rumours end with contacting said actor's name, but with Vin, there are rumours he signed the contract. I'm looking forward if Vin and Seven are collaborating for shujinrenjia🥳

I dont think this drama is exciting enough. There are just too many drama with this theme nowadays, and none are up to standard
