I saw a recruitment official account (seeker) and casting call post on weibo in March on Shujinrenjia. It seems like this drama will be another TV series drama (aired on Satellite TV in mainland). Some roles were undecided in March, so they were welcoming high quality actors and actresses to submit materials. Professional colleges are preferred. Rumours said Seven had signed this drama since December last year. So they are just looking for some other supporting roles. This drama seemed like produced by several production company associated with tv series.
I keep on loving Seven Tan day by day. Being free, enjoying her life at 33 years old, having own company she built, acting in drama she likes, making own songs based on her story, wishing for pure love. She is just a bundle of joy. An unproblematic low-key actress who worked hard for every success she owned today.
I remembered she fights hard for her first main role debut, she won her audition against 10,000 (iirc) actresses for With You. She never sign with any company, so she had to work hard for every resources she get. She dont have as much connections like all big actors/actresses who are backed by big company. Most of her roles in drama were won by auditions.
She was a support role in the legendary drama Legend of Zhen Huan (2012 with SunLi) as the kindest, pure, concubine Chun who died early in the palace. She remained as the purest soul in the whole drama and many were saddened by her role's death. Unfortunately, Seven was also too pure at that time, she didnt leave her contact info or take advantage of her connections with all the big actresses she acted with, so she disappeared after that😅.
I hope Seven Tan kept on making many good and hit dramas. I wish all her roles success and be remembered for a long time. There is no official announcement yet, but rumours said she will act in costume drama after ABAY. First costume drama after 3 years😅. Last was Sword and the Brocade (2020 filming) and before that UTP (2017 filming) lol. She has 3 years gap for every costume drama filming. Hope she will film more costume drama in the future with no big 3 years gap
I'm bored. So i kinda make up a story i wish Seven would be in the future. I wish her to be a main lead in slice-of-life/thriller/mystery drama where she is a photographer who took beautiful pictures of random sceneries/people in life. Every pictures she took hold different stories. First part of the drama should be easy-going slice of life kind of genre. Then, life took turn when a picture she took become an important evidence of murder. Then she became entangled with the detective who was investigating the homicide and a guy who she had known earlier in some of the pictures she took. Second part of the drama should be thriller. Third part should be mystery. Then we end the drama with slice-of-life genre again at fourth part of the drama. There you go, 40 episodes journey of a cute smart photographer who value all different kinds of life with important lessons to learn. The lead is Seven Tan so, she must be the first billing. Everyone else come second. This should be a female story drama.

UTP is indeed a low budget, you can see by the poor cgi🥲. It's just that both leads acting were too good that i also thought it was high budget drama until i come to the cgi part lol. They were too poor that they dont even have wrap-up party dinner after filming. They all just go home after saying goodbyes because they dont have money left for food. What saved UTP for me is the high quality acting and the chemistry of both leads. Allen and Seven Tan made it looked effortlessly like high quality drama with their natural acting and chemistry.
Wang Hedi here actually remind me of Allen's Luyi charisma in UTP, that's why I mentioned UTP. I was surprised to know Unchained Love was also a low-budget drama. I was just hoping that Yuqi can complement Wang Hedi's charisma here like Seven's Jinxia with Allen's Luyi in UTP, but never mind. This fall short in that term imo, but it is still enjoyable.

I just started Unchained Love and I think I like it. This drama kinda remind me of Under the Power, Wang Hedi here showed so much charisma and sass, that remind me of RJL Jinyiwei Luyi in UTP, except that Wang Hedi is 'eunuch'. I was expecting more from Chen Yuqi like Jinxia in UTP, but i think that's alright, at least i dont find her acting annoying. This being a low budget drama also made me think of UTP. Underdog drama is indeed the best

I know this drama is still not yet official, and i'll be very happy with any Seven's costume drama. But I hope the screenwriter did a good job writing the script, retouching and combining the plots in the novel... I hope they do some change with the novel plots..
Actually imo Seven is very in line with JiXing and businesswoman role. She as an actor, never signed with any entertainment company since her debut as an actress, but instead make her own company. She has her own company, which is XingYun Culture. She herself invested in Go Ahead and Flight to You drama production. I dont think so. Plus, if Seven worked with ZLY, she'll be second female lead, maybe second or even third billing after the male lead. She'll be downgraded, and it'll be harder for her future works. It's not like Seven can't be first leading female in other resources, so it doesnt make sense for her to take this. It is probably just marketing account using ZLY, Seven, and the actor's name for marketing the drama. At last, it'll be another less popular actors/actresses.
