I have to have hope cause Seven has no more stock drama. All her drama has been used up😭. We have nothing to look forward to except this🥲. But Seven usually has at least one drama aired in a year. She has no more drama for 2024 except ABAY.

There are rumours they'll finished filming in Qingdao at May 15th. Dont know if they'll resume filming somewhere else though.

I'm dont even include Under the Power here, cause it was firstly aired online, but because of it's popularity, some small satellite TV bought it's airing right, and it's currently hold the highest cvb rating for that satellite tv platform🤣. Under the Power and Go Ahead is repeatedly broadcast by CCTV. Go Ahead is currently airing in CCTV if i'm not mistaken, and UTP was broadcast again after Flight to You in some CCTV channel.

Cause she really is holding the top spot cvb in Satellite TV with Go Ahead. No one is able to break her record yet. Master of My Own is among top cvb in Dragon TV for 2022, Flight to You is no. 4 cvb rating in history of CCTV-8, 1st urban drama in history to break 2% peak, Road Home is currently the highest cvb rating in 2023 for Hunan TV. Go Ahead is the highest cvb in history of satellite TV if i'm not mistaken. Correct me if i'm wrong.

What if it comes out in 2024? Seven's Master of My Own was filmed in 2021, it comes out in April 2022, Flight to You completed filming in January 2022, it aired on Dec 2022-Jan 2023, Road Home filmed around June 2022, it comes out at March 2023. I'm not losing hope ABAY aired in 2024🤣

But why is Song qian's name before Tong Yao? Is Song Qian has higher billing than Tong Yao? Didnt Tong Yao won China Magnolia Award for best actress in 2020?

Both have solid acting and are good in skinship and chemistry. I approve😭. If the script is alright, this will be another amazing Seven's costume drama

Hm i'm not sure if it will be the best of Seven's works, but it will be one of the best. Because Seven's With You 2016 is considered a ceiling/blueprint highschool youth drama in mainland sitting at rating 8.9 on douban. It is so hard to surpass. It is a classic that most people will say when they talk about Seven and of course Go Ahead and Under the Power too. But ABAY gonna be one of the cutest Seven's works in recent years.

Indeed, but it's so hard looking for good script in cdrama these days. You cant find Seven wanting to act in idol drama anymore. This novel is already on the better script i guess bc it has work romance balance.

MoMO was on the slow burn and little romance, Flight to You too. And it's so hard finding Seven picking up ancient drama🥲. Even shujinrenjia is not confirmed yet. I know why i cant see Seven collaborating with the actors i want, because Seven is on the modern drama side, while all the guys i want are doing costume drama back to back🥲. I kinda want Seven to have different drama theme from career oriented woman after shujinrenjia. I dont know how much is her believable script limit cause if so, i'll have to say goodbye to looking forward Seven in xianxia and wuxia😭😂.

Based on the frequency and the number of sites/melons reporting on this drama, there is very big chance Seven and Zheng yecheng are going to star in it. Just waiting for official announcement

Haha i think i like all Seven's dramas. I am actually more into costume drama, i usually dont like modern, but i watch all Seven's modern drama🤭. I'm excited when she is rumoured to be in costume drama because i like her in costume setting. I'm excited to know the details for Shujinrenjia, i hope the director is a good one. Plus i hope the script is good (but knowing Seven, the script should be good). I wonder if this is going to be aired on satellite TV, bc there should be nothing against the strict republic standard view.

For ABAY, I had a feeling they will apply for airing license. I definitely have read they plan to air ABAY on first line satellite TV. I wonder about shujinrenjia. It will be good for Seven's popularity for her to appear in costume setting on satellite tv once in a while. (actually it is very hard to apply for airing license in china, it's already amazing Seven had dramas on TV back to back under short period). Most actors/actresses have so many shelved dramas for years waiting to be aired, while Seven is out of stock😅).

Tbh, i cant wait for the traditional clothing. Tang dynasty is known to be fashionable. Seven had done Ming and Qing dynasty ancient drama. I love all her costumes in those drama, they are so gorgeous, probably because the"jin"/brocades in the title. This time she is rumoured to act in another brocade's drama, i'm so excited to look at all the clothes.

Tbh, for as low-budget as UTP was, the costumes were gorgeous. Even if Jinxia didnt change clothes as much as Luyi, all her dresses are so cute for her. Tang dynasty is known for it's fashion, silk trades, brocades were huge in that era, that's why shu brocade is popular. FL's family is not rich, but they are known to hold the secret recipe for dyeing the most beautiful brocades. They produced top quality brocades colour. This silk brocade trades were vital to the country that it can cause war. Shu brocade has the longest history out of famous brocades in China.

FL is a resourceful, strong-headed girl. She was still 16 years old at the beginning of the story. She was in love with the childhood lover, but his family was against it. The childhood lover is quite possessive, he told her she cant marry anyone but him. FL said if the childhood lover is going to marry someone else, why cant she find her own happiness marrying someone good for her. I like that FL is not someone weak, actually she is very smart and reasonable. She was just a bit immature when she encounter ML bc she was supposed to be 16yo. Her mom also worry that FL is still naive and full of optimism. I like FL's temperament. ML is charming too.

I'm just at few chapters at the beginning. FL and ML bickered at first sight lol. ML kissed FL at second meeting "intention unintentionally" when they were bickering, YingYing got so mad she slapped him. ML were struck bc that is the first time he got slapped. Childhood lover came to save FL as white knight. There is probably sometime before the prince appear, but he'll try to covet the dye recipe from FL's family.

Based on their new reuters pictures standing side by side, i think they have cp feeling. Cutesy baby face type couple vibe. The drama gonna look adorable with two baby face people talking about serious business.

JX had long hair in the novel if i'm not mistaken, she often styled it as ponytail. But short hair worked too bc JX is supposed to look like a young girl with her hairstyle

Lmao i thought the same thing when i first saw Jinxia dressing as man. She's just too happy and so good at cross-dressing. I would totally miss her gender because she totally acts like a boy. I can hardly believe man cross-dressing in c/k-drama, but Jinxia's mannerism is too on point, that i can believe her as a boy. Actually i read the book after i watched this drama, DaYang described Jinxia as pervert🤣.

I recommend Go Ahead if you havent watch the drama yet. I also recommend Master of My Own and Flight to You if you are into urban drama. You can try The Sword and the Brocade if you want to watch historical drama. Go Ahead is a slice-of-life. Or With You 2016 if you are into highschool trope😊.
