I think I saw Seven and RJL new rumoured drama every 3 months since 2020 that it's hard to believe now hahaha. I've seen all sorts of drama types that have Seven and RJL collaborating again but none is true😌. Plus, tbh, RJL and 7's fans are sort of enemy on weibo. I dont know why, but it has been happening since 2020. They like to fight each other.

I actually like Fang Yilun, the one in the Long Ballad, that looked like Hyun Bin🤭. But he is rumoured in another drama that Seven was rumoured before she rumoured to Shu Jin Ren Jia. Seven has so many rumoured costume drama since 2020, even since 2022 until 2023, but none of those came true😅. Unexpectedly, Seven has never done s+ budget drama before, the sword and the brocade from tencent was just an s level drama, but the playback volume was so huge that it surpassed s+ budget drama back in 2021. It even became a standard to compare achievement. I think only few broke sword and brocade record in 2022, but those were s+ budget drama. Only love between fairy and evil, and dream of splendor to be exact, but all those dramas are s+ budget.

To be fair, Under the Power Seven's first costume drama, was a low budget drama. No one expected that drama to be a hit😅. It was just released online, but because it became a hit, that it is even aired on CCTV now, China national broadcasting TV in mainland. I lost count on how many times Under the Power has been played back on TV since these few years.

Wow. You got one correct, i hope you get the latter correct too. Maybe one day we'll get 7 and Xiao Zhan pairing too. Xu kai and 7 is collaborating now.

Never mind. I watched other costume dramas, and they are all about love, angst, fairies, and mystery. Rarely about entrepreneurship🥲. Except if you are chasing Seven's drama, you will realize most of her drama are about business🥲. I guess it's hard for her to find believable script in costume drama. I saw her interview post Road Home, there were question about her lack of costume drama. She said she likes watching costume drama when she was young, but now for her to choose costume drama, the script had be comprehensive. She dont mind modern or costume drama, the script just had to appeal to her.

I dont know about this. But sometimes i think Tan Songyun is being type-casted when she kept on doing drama about entrepreneur. Sometimes she had to let loose and accept different role like xianxia or wuxia. That way she can try different genres and not being typecasted into entrepreneur genre only. Her range of scripts also will become more diverse.

If she kept on rejecting costume drama, or doing entrepreneur thingy only, i'm afraid she will only receive those kind of scripts whether it is modern or costume. Even her rumoured costume drama is about savvy business girl. She had to let loose and accept some action wuxia/xianxia drama.

Even Zhao Liying did diverse of roles. That way producers wont be afraid to give different kind of scripts to her. I just wish Seven's next drama after JingXing As Beautiful As You is not about business again. It's becoming repetitive. She has to kick some ass or have some powers.

I know she wants to do mature role, but there is no rush. She will gets mature role when she gets older eventually. She only get to do this prettyrole when she is still young. Everyone already know about her acting skill, there is no loss in doing one xianxia or wuxia drama. Plus, there are some smart female lead role in xianxia/wuxia. It's not like those genres dont require acting skills. I just hope Seven to not look down on those kind of genre and accept some role.

Besides, it is not good to stay on comfortable zone for too long. She needs to challenge herself if she wants breakthrough. Actually, xianxia/wuxia drama is harder to film than modern drama. There are lots preparations. Makeup and actions took longer time. Even legendary actors/actresses with great acting skills too take on costume dramas. Seven have to take advantage of her young age to play xianxia/wuxia once in her lifetime. She'll never get to do this kind of roles later when she gets older except if she becomes someones's aunt for younger actress.

Plus by limiting herself to modern dramas, or business type of drama, is not she is a limited actor who dont challenge herself for other roles?

FL was behaving same as her 6 years old age self bc she was still immature at 16 years old. You can see she is the baby of the family, plus she was the only girl. She behaves like boys. She also had her period late, which i think why she was immature at 16 yo. But you can see her difference after time skip. She's no longer childish at 25 yo, she also is more mature. But she became formal with her long not seen brothers. Probably they left her just like that at 16 yo without clarifying the misunderstandings

Right. Jixing's friends were dear to her in the novel. Shao Yichen was a saint. Just a model boyfriend. Maybe they (scripwriter) thought he is too perfect for him to breakup with Jixing? Or they want to save cost casting another actress to play the junior.

Nope. The girl Shao Yichen engaged with in the novel is their junior in the college who liked him since college years but cant pursue him because he was dating Jixing back then. None of Jixing's friends.

The main leads career are probably still the same as in the novel. The theme and some settings look quite the same. It's just that i've seen pictures from reuters that dont belong in the book, and some about Li li and Shao Yichen that totally far off from the novel. Hanting and Jixing are probably still the same, but based on the reuters pictures, they dont follow book scenes.

At this rate, i dont think the drama is following the book. I've seen pictures and videos from reuters, it's too far off from the novel. I feel like Shao Yichen and Li li is not going to be like in the novel. Plus, i've seen cat pictures, i dont think there is any cat scenes in the book.

With You was Tan Songyun debut drama as main role. Before that, she only played supporting role. Yup, it was highly rated in douban, and the blueprint of most school youth drama.
Geng Geng and YuHuai was iconic in China eventhough people dont know the drama much internationally because it was back in 2016. 'With You' birthed many youth school drama in China🥲. It was the blueprint.

There were fans on the filming set location for TSY past dramas, except Road Home was hard to get because they filmed in snowy location a lot. But fans only released pictures after the drama finished airing. They were quite strict on releasing spoilers.

Oh. I guess TSY past dramas were too lowkey. All her modern dramas Go Ahead, Flight to You, Road Home, Master of My Own, have very little reuters. Especially Flight to You. People only released bts pictures after drama finished airing though they filmed in public a lot.

Is this normal to have this many reuters for a drama? I think i've seen too many behind the scene pictures for this drama. TSY past dramas has been too low-key, so idek if this is normal bc i thought it could be spoilers. Last time i saw many reuters pictures during You Are My Glory filming

Liu Haoran is not an idol. He dont act much in drama either😅. He is a movie star. He mostly acts in film. With You was his first drama, before that he only act in movie. His movies are usually blockbuster and award winner in china. Imagine the korean actors who only act in hit movies and not drama. That's Liu Haoran. Except that he is very young.

Yup. I actually like Shao Yichen. He is a saint. He is the best boyfriend and ex-boyfriend you can ever get (minus hanting).

This drama is like the blueprint of school youth drama in china. But maybe people dont like it much here because of the ending and the lack of romance. Romance in this drama is subtle and slowburn. It's more like slice of life and youth rather than purely romance.

Yup. With You comes first, because of the drama success, then they made the Huckleberry Friends sequel. This drama is the blueprint of mainland school youth c-drama. It receives many awards and recognition during it's airing time.

Yup. Both of the shujinrenjia and flourished peony are about entrepreneur woman😭. I lean more into Ji Yingying though than Peony. But i'm sick of entrepreneur for now. Give me something badass, mystery, politics, or powers. Wuxia or xianxia is great. I just want Seven to be a smart and pretty fairy who likes eating food😭. And has power. She has never done this type of role yet. She has to do this type of role once when she is still young. Just once is even enough to make up for this drought😭

That was such a missed opportunity if it is true. I hope TSY will get a chance to be in an s+ project again in the future. Hopefully in costume drama.
