That's why her dramas always do great on TV rating, because her audience are mostly TV watchers. Hence why we felt a bit bitter here when shujinrenjia doesn't air on TV especially because she never misses with TV rating.

I have not come far in the drama yet, but historically Shu Brocade is invaluable, more than gold at some point.

Effortless funny character is her forte. That's always her best characters imo

This year is the year of female centric drama, next year there would be more male centric drama

Youku only started releasing materials for Brocade Odyssey 3 days before airing. Meanwhile Story of Pearl Girl had trailers months before and reuters to hype people.

Hence why we are glad they are hitting 3 millions in the short span of time because we got nothing at all for months. When we say we got nothing, it means literally nothing, no reuters, no trailers, just nothing

Since this is brocade first, it should be happy ending

And when she pleads with Yang jinglan, I can see a bit of jinxia🤣. She's a mix of both jianjian and jinxia but she's also a new character, she's definitely Ji Yingying 🤣🤣🤣

I'm still butthurt over this. If Shu Brocade won't air on TV, youku better give them the maximum promotion they deserved. Give them all the ads, and put them on netflix, idc, I was fine with the drama being so secretive when it was filming and when it has no promotion/trailers all these months because I thought it will air on TV, but now that they are fully a web drama, youku might as well give it a promotion and hype it like a deserving web drama. Sigh.. Shu Brocade whole genre is totally built for TV, I'm sorry for ranting under your comment.

Plus maybe I've got grudge with youku ruining Dear Mayang Street airtime previously🤣

The Sword and the Brocade was purely web. It was never intended for TV airing from the start. So I understand that TSaTB never air on mainland TV. But Dear Mayang Street and Shu Brocade was planned for TV only for Youku to ruin it in the end.

Seven deserved getting her costume dramas airing on TV. It's such a waste for shujin to become a web drama only, or for it to air on TV only later after it become popular like under the power. I would understand with The Sword and the Brocade because the drama was purely web, but even with The Sword and The Brocade, the drama end up holding the highest TV rating when it was airing on Taiwan channel, as for Shujin, they cut off all the reuters, filming with low key, only for it to air as web drama? Why not just promote like all the web dramas from the start? I'm just angry with youku that they can't book even 1 TV slot for Seven when she had worked with other platforms before and all her dramas aired on TV end up as top rating of the year.
