I just saw she was the poison expert/princess, she doesnt have that many scenes as compared to Zhang Haowei's character who is literally the 3rd male, and affecting many major incidents in female lead's life. I hope the drama's team find their solution

I have been thinking if Shu Brocade is shelved for a long time, it will be out of trend and all the similar theme dramas like Pearl Girl, and Peony would have aired by the time Shu Brocade is released. Xihuazhi (Blossom in Adversity) had already aired, and along with Shu Brocade, all these 4 dramas have similar theme.

I'm trying to be optimistic with this drama being supported by Sichuan government, but I really dont know if there is ever a drama that get released after the cast was involved in tax and prostitution. Besides, if this drama get pass, would they let it air on TV anymore? Sigh..

Good for her. Wu Jinyan is getting more attention after the success of The Double. This drama is also Youku's key project for 2024 if i'm not mistaken, other than Shu Brocade.

I think that is the point of the people reporting ZHW. They want to hurt him, and a few months after especially if some of his drama aired, he may get more popular and jobs.

I understand your frustration and vision for Seven because I also wish she takes more drama/films. I like watching c-dramas, but i have a hard time watching their acting, the only actresses that I can immersed with their acting are Seven, Zhao Liying, and NiNi. The rest may fall short, they are decent, but that's it.

Though, i can see Seven seemed to be fav pick of award/renowned directors? Shu brocade is a Magnolia director winner, Xiaoyao is the hit Knockout director, and even in her next drama melon, the director rumoured is a Magnolia winner

Realistically, I dont see Seven joining any variety show as fixed cast, but who knows. I am on your side envying other fans having 3-4 dramas of their favs in a year.

I heard Seven declined So Long For Love movie several times but the team offered her the script regardless and waited for her to have clear schedules to shoot the movie.

Sometimes i do get frustrated at the little drama/movie Seven filmed in a year compared to other actors/actress, but I also get it if she values quality of her life and works.

Actually, shu brocade has obtained distribution license since july, hence why it has airing rumours on september.

Seven waited almost 5/6 months for this drama to be filmed, she could have reject this drama because it took too long to start. She wasted a whole 2 dramas shooting period length for this drama to be shelved?? And she rejected list of costume dramas for this?

Nope. Flourished Peony was offered for Seven first, she was the first rumoured for the drama, and Huace/Mango wanted her because of Go Ahead and FTY success collaboration, but i think shujin came first to Seven, so she turned down Flourished Peony. There was also Zhulian( The story of Pearl Girl) and Xihuazhi which Seven turned down, and all these dramas have similar theme with Shujin.

I know all of these are only melons, but it is indeed Seven's name came first when all of these dramas were rumoured for filming. Especially Peony, there were a lot of articles back then that Huace/Mango want Seven to collaborate with Go Ahead team in costume drama.

Damn i never imagine the day i would see shelved Seven's drama. I'm too spoiled of fast airing. This is so unfortunate as shujin already have rumoured airing schedule

Actually shujinrenjia book is not that good, so if the drama changed the script, it will be better. I read on wb previously that shujin script undergoes 8 times changes from 2021, until now. I'm putting my hope on that, besides Seven who is very picky with script. If she picked the drama, means the script is okay i guess. I'm trusting her eyes for script

What's the surprise? Seven just have good audience views on TV. It's not like this is her first time being crown cvb rating on Hunan TV. This is her 3rd time on Hunan, and her other dramas was in top 3 in Dragon TV, and Top 4 in CCTV. Like it's not that weird. What rigging are you even talking about, cvb TV rating is not like online views where people can waters the views

I have bit of doubt about budget promotion or the drama team own decision. If they lack on budget, they should have join in youku drama investment conference back in june? where many youku dramas participated to attract investment, but shujin even skipped on that, so idk.

Plus, there is also dramas usually allowed reuters to gather marketing investment from potential investors, and promotion, but shujin also did not allow reuters and are very hush hush throughout the filming process.
