The drama timeline was confusing when you consider the final episode. They wanted to show that Lu Xiao Fan wasn't stupid. The way they depicted it could have been better because it never seemed like he wanted Bei Lu Qing to hate him until the very last episode.

That is just so sad. They didn't do the scene well. There were too many jump cuts. I thought by that point their relationship was already established but I guess in his head, this was the only way for him to be be able to do something that Bei Lu Qing disliked.
