This was disturbing to watch.
Doha is like a 27 year old 5 year old. The others therefore feels like pedos because they like that he acts and talks like a confused little child.

SPOILERS BELOW

Best friend Gyeon decides to start kissing Doha the manchild because Doha passes out and falls onto his face and their lips meet so he grabs and holds unconscious Doha up and kisses him, grabs him by the waist and continues kissing him, even though there is no response at all from Doha who's completely unconscious.
That's non-consensual and a form of sexual assault.
If you can't trust your best friend not to take advantage of you when you are drunk and/or passed out then who can you trust?

And then how violent Gyeon was just because Doha didn't answer his phone when he was with Haram on the beach.
Gyeon couldn't be sure that Doha hadn't just lost the phone or turned it off. But he punches the guy Doha is with and Doha does nothing, just stands there and gets hugged and talks like a small child ignoring Haram (his date) who just got hit really hard.

Then when they get together Doha says he will go home to sleep but gets talked into sleep over. Doha says he'll sleep on the floor but gets talked into sleeping in the bed.
Gyeon says things like it's not the first time we sleep together (share bed) and make it seem like he means nothing more will happen so Doha stays.
It's obvious Doha doesn't feel ready for anything yet but when Doha innocently kisses him on the forehead he throws himself on top of Doha and says "you seduced me first" and starts kissing him obviously initiating sex.
That's called sexual coercion and is another form of sexual assault.

The best friend was violent, impulsive, controlling and took advantage of him multiple times.

And then 3 years into their relationship as bf's living together Doha gets shy and act like a child because his bf isn't wearing a shirt when getting ready in the morning????

It's just so weird, creepy and disturbing.

Gyeon is not a good friend or potential partner, definitely a red flag.
First he starts kissing Doha when Doha basically passes out and their lips accidently meet, that is in NO WAY ok. And then he goes and punches an younger guy who treats Doha really well just because Doha didn't answer his phone.
Gyeon is abusive, possessive and had no problem doing things to Doha without consent.
It's so disturbing to watch, especially since Doha is so passive.

The fact they play a song that isn't metal at all when Fadel and Style are bouncing around the club, but a indie…
I don't even understand what vibes they were going for.

What's with the "Heavy Metal Club"?
Why is it like a Kiss masquerade wannabe club?

Like I listen to metal, we have a bar that's basically all metal and some punk alt rock playing or whatever we who go there request but no one gets dressed up to look the part.
We just are ourselves, dress as always and go there for the music, we do not all of the sudden wear studs and leather and make up and band shirts just to go there, I always or almost always do because it's me but far from everyone does and Kiss make up???
Idk but to me that club gives masquerade with a rock theme and not like it's for people who actually listen to metal.

Also all metal fans I know are basically softies we couldn't care less if you like metal or not. Why would anyone beat someone up because of it?
We are normal people, happen to like metal and lots of us do like leather and studs probably because we grew up seeing that as normal but it's nothing cool about it and it's not playing dress up, it's just our personal style.
Most metal fans look as normal as anyone, jeans, t-shirt and jacket, they look like any pop fan or computer nerd, you couldn't tell what they listen too.
I think Style and Fadel looks much more like metal fans in their normal clothes than when going to the club.
If they were a band and about to perform I would get the sudden style enhancement because it's stage clothes and makeup.

Or is it a dress up club and not about the actual music?

I just find the "heavy metal club" scenes kinda strange.

Btw for you who don't know "The Metal God" is gay so it's not a big deal in metal spaces.
Rob Halford aka 'The Metal God', the singer of one of the all time biggest, most well known, long running and greatest metal bands Judas Priest, he came out as gay in the 90's.
Judas Priest are still releasing music and touring since 1969 and Rob's in his 70's.
Rob's IG is cute cats, selfies with other metal legends, lots of gay shit and leather, concert tour pics, throwback pics and more cats.

Metal isn't about being hard and posing, it's about the music. Listen to the amazing vocalists, great musicians and lyrics.

I'm only on ep3 but he is so despicable. The way he breaks her down more and more makes me sick, it's so horrible to watch.
I really hope this series is not trying to make it ok because of him being abandoned and now dying because NO, it's not ok, he is horrible, abusive and is destroying her relationships and mental health out of egoistic reasons.
Kidnapped, physically and mentally abused, ignored, tied up, laughed at, all free will taken from her, unwanted sexual advances. It's such extreme disgusting abuse.
Right now I'm so frustrated and really hate him, he has no right and it's so disturbing, it's such an disgusting assault on her, taking away her right to her body, her life and right to choose for herself.
It feels like he soon has broken her down so much that she will just go along with him and give up on her own wants, needs and life.
It's like she is just a toy, a slave, vessel for him to use, to drain and destroy out of his own egoistic pity for himself. She really isn't someone he cares for, it's just for himself. Selfish disgusting abuser.
I felt less disgusted with psycho killer characters in series than with him.
My favorite dramas are dark with flawed, realistic characters and also dark psycho killer dramas so my dislike has nothing to do with the characters not being perfect.

Just to be clear, this is nothing against the actor. I do like the actor in his role in Blood Hounds and from what I've seen he is a really good actor, it's this drama series the "relationship" and character and the way they portray/excuse the way he behaves as ok, funny and even romanticise it that I have a problem with. It's serious abuse, nothing else.

Is it gonna be the same shipps and roles as always or are they gonna bring in some variation?

ForceBook's acting starting to mimic each other so much in their acting and always acting pretty much the same way with doing a little pause in their lines, make a little noise like a sigh or something, lifting eyebrows etc. Especially Force always does that I really think they would benefit from acting with others more. That is if they are interesting in evolving as actors.
It just feels so predictable and the roles and dynamic is pretty much the same every time.

I love how realistic this series was and it's not like BL.
It's a queer character but it's a realistic depiction of life, feelings and relationships not just for us queer people.
The most realistic kdrama I've seen.

And funny as hell and cute and depressing and sad too. Like life.
The Soundtrack is so nice and the cinematography is beautiful and acting is so good.

This is one of my favorite series now, one of my top kdramas and definitely one of my fave lgbtq series, it beats every BL series for sure.

And I don't even wanna categorise it as BL because this is realistic, not straight-washed fluff written for women.

I wasn't expecting this from Korea, not as a series with full length episodes. As a movie or short film/mini series maybe but not this quality and length so I was pleasantly surprised.
I really hope to see more like this in the future.
