She mentioned many times how she makes sure to eat healthy, make sure she isn’t stressed, exercises, yet her tumour happened.

I like that Natsukawa keeps getting stuck on statements that seem odd. It shouldn’t take him long to figure it out, then.

It’s on purpose. WE know, but she doesn’t. Why would he ask what she was doing out there? Why would he walk her away with a umbrella instead of meeting her with the car? Then they showed the car for those who still didn’t get it, so we’d feel more anxious. If they didn’t reveal it, it would be a surprise rather than tense.
