Gu is Great! if Minglan had Married Qi she would have been destroyed by Princess Pingning. Qi didn't have the bottle to stand up to his mother wheras Gu protected Minglan from his mother in law and even advised her how to resist her schemes.

A rewatch is like finding a hidden door and walking into a secret room. Many scenes in early episodes felt like fillers but suddenly come to life and gives new insight into how much Minglan sees which others don't.

Gu is great! once he gets his act together, he is outstanding.

Not so much a triangle, its a slice of life, both leads are intrested/involved with other people but know each other from childhood. it seems to be a relationship that would never work but when they get together they are perfectly matched

its encompasses the whole at of the drama. She is a 'Fly by the seat of your pants' pilot whilst he is rule bound because he wants to eliminate every risk for a reason. What she doesn't realise is that he is her biggest supporter and he wants her to be an exceptional pilot and become a trailblazer.

Absolutly worth it. There are a lot of twists and turns and the mother in law from hell, but given your concerns, you will like the ending.

Oh and the best Maid in cdrama in my opinion.
