If I remember correctly though, I think that his death reminded CQ that life is short (or something like that) and that she should live for herself too rather than sacrificing her happiness for others...

I love that last part of the novel... I think they filmed too much about the beginning....
I wonder if it means there will be a sequel which I hope not, as much as I love this drama, I want to watch it oneshot and not having to wait another year or two for a sequel - -

It was eventful to me, but I can't wait till the sad part for Yan Xun finishes... It's really not that much misunderstandings... It'll depends how the writers will treat this part because the misunderstanding was not in the novel (and tbh, YWY in the novel was an a** in the begining and not treating slave lives as human lives anyways; though he changed with time....)

Because according to Baidu, he's supposed to be named Xiao Ce (brother of the Princess of Nanliang Xiao Yu) and the description for him is that he likes Xing'er but thinks that his love is not as strong as YWY's so he only cares for her silently...
