Filming every episode as a one take sounds very ambitious. Probably will be an 8 episode drama because doing 16 one take episodes sounds ridiculous and exhausting. It’s an interesting gimmick that works better as a film than a tv drama but I’m curious to see how they do it.
Just got done rewatching. So poignant and well written. Lee Sun Kyun’s performance is one of the greatest I’ve ever seen. I love all these characters so much and the bond they share. I’m looking forward to the writers next drama “My Liberation Diary” which airs in April.
This drama low key reminds of me Nam Joo Hyuk’s other drama called The Light in Your Eyes. I see a few parallels but that drama had one of the most unique twists I’ve ever seen in a drama.
This drama fails being a provocative, edgy, “realistic” romance. It’s a really shallow portrait and doesn’t have much depth. I’ve always found that movies are better at this when tackling a “realistic” romance.
I don’t think two episodes is enough to judge a drama but there are things I’m not looking forward to. They better not make those cheaters good at the end. The SML is an awful person so far and so is the SFL.
seon woo definitely grew on me in ep 2 and i see the vision now. he and mijo are getting cuter. loved their interactions…
Lee Moo Saeng is great at playing assholes. I remember how much I hated him in One Spring Night. He’s also handsome and nails the handsome jerk role very well.
One of those dramas I’ll wait till it’s done airing to see if I can handle the emotional damage it may cause me. There’s an underlying sadness in these first two episodes and I’d rather wait lol.
Same writer as My Mister. Will probably be the same in that it will break you down before picking you up. Hyped and can’t wait to see Lee Min Ki in a non romcom drama.
A bleak ending doesn’t mean it’s a bad ending lol. It actually had the balls to give an ending most Kdrama’s wouldn’t. It’s still a good drama even if the ending doesn’t suit most peoples taste. Definitely better than the 7.3 rating. If you’re okay with a subversive ending it’s definitely worth watching.
Damn I didn’t know this is actually an adaptation of the book but with one less sister. Will be interesting to see a Korean adaptation of it. The description says that they face off against one of Korea’s wealthiest families which makes me cautious though. I hope it stays true to the sisters dynamic in the book even though they’ve added this plot line.
Writer of this drama wrote Lawless Lawyer and Remember: War of the Son. Both had romance that didn’t impede or interfere with the overall story too much, so if it’s done well here I won’t mind any romance.
First saw Kim Min Gue on 'I can see your voice' I'm so happy he's got many new roles and receiving the recognition…
When I first saw him in Because This is My First Life, I thought it was only a matter of time before he plays leading role. Only a matter of time now with both this and Snowdrop airing close together.
