S1 Ends with "If you don't give up, there is hope"
I hope, they will air S2 soon! Also, since there's nothing mentioned for Ahn Jae Hong, maybe he is the future person in S2 who somehow conveyed the "don't go to hospital" msg.
I appreciate how the team personally visited all the victims family member's in end to tell them the murderer has been arrested.
My favourite character is Jae Yi. It's rare that my favourite character is female mc and not some supporting character or male mc. She is one hell of a wise, straightforward, brave and reserved character. She is not the annoying female mc who will hinder the investigation for some stupid reason.
Also, the poster on profile doesn't do enough justice to how pretty she is with the small hair cut in drama. In beginning, I thought she is killer too because of haircut change.
I loved the chemistry and heartwarming moments between Sun Jae and Jae Yi. It was great to see Sun Jae who didn't like her at first then heard her story and started to care for her. She slowly opened up to him. For a minute, I felt they should have more screen time together even when I hate adding romance in crime thrillers.
And my heartbroke every time Kwang Ho jumped through time. Glad Sung Shik still have him in the end.

But everything aside, the scriptwriter shouldn't have k"lled Noh Seung Hwan (Nam Dae Moon).
At a certain point, I could turn a blind eye to Jang Sun Oh but definitely not to Noh Seung Hwan. The moment he had stomach pain in car, I knew what the fate has in store for him. But it still broke me when he died and male lead meet his family.

For first 7 episodes I my opinion was negative and then starts the ride until ep 14. Like every time there's a trap, you realize male lead still has the upper hand on overall situation. My jaw dropped in ep 8-9 when I realised the whole search and seizure was a part of his plan.
A corruption and crime thriller that is not predictable for half pf the screentime. Or makes you question your predictions and think in other directions. How is this only 8.0 and not 8.5+???
Also, a physically weak, rookie but book smart male lead who struggled for like 7 episodes but learned all skills, became street smart and manage to outsmart all the villains for next 7 episodes, and then served justice in first 20-25 minutes of ep 16.
There's a a lot of personality development if you like to see that. Enough room was left to develop aftermath and hints for season 2 or a never ending fight against evil people in society.
Great build up for thriller and mystery. My jaw dropped at the police station scene. My theory was human experiment or something and every person around him is fake (like Ba Reum from Mouse) but then the last hospital scene was kinda meh coz I believed he was innocent. He looked like a kind soul when he was 21. Even when the situation was bad for him, he had backed out and did not want all of that but it just happened. One thing leads to another when he was overwhelmed with fear and anxiety and people keep screaming. He was anyway living the house quietly.
I really wanted to see a follow up on the court scene as he ran away mid-way in the hearing.
And the market fight scene when he buys fish, I was like there were zero CCTV cameras? No one came out to testify who actually started fight? That's ridiculous.
They didn't even bother to show him trying to communicate with cops that he did not start the fight.
I always enjoy Song Joon Ki's work. The plot was an interesting take on the North Korean detector plot. Although…
That's a wonderful rewrite! Maybe they could meet in the same location (laundry room) where she notices a familiar building in the picture in his hands and tries to wake him up / take him to doctor as his clothes were soaked and he can definitely be sick given the cold weather.
And yes, I also kept wondering why he didn't fly to South Korea instead of Brussels in the whole first half or so. The language (& expensive city) is the real struggle.

I couldn't help but think about that coz of the doctor.
Good movie and acting but the whole struggle could be avoided or reduced by choosing different location.
