Nice watch actually. It is also something you can binge in one sitting (7-8 hours) or consume slowly for few days as there are no major cliffhangers. I wish this had 10/12/16 episodes rather than hints for season 2.
As much as I disliked the Choi Mi Ryeo's character, it was essential in second half. I could also sense an interesting chemistry of Ji Yong and Seon Wook in intial episodes with all those eye stares. For a moment, I thought he was the mask guy.

I would have rather accepted that Ba Reum had some psycho tendencies towards cage / metal fence / animals or some other twisted features but no, they straight away turned him into Yo Han 2.0!

I lazily watched ep 1&2, in 3-4 it starts to get interesting. Even end of ep 6 was a nice catch. But now mid-way of ep7 and I might drop it by ep 8.
In dramas, I am open to both solo/duo/trio/more team investigations. Difference in opinion and methods of each individual is also a way to heat up the plot.
But the 3 mc in watcher, especially that attorney, I'm disliking them for lack of honesty and trust. I feel like why is she even on the team.
I watched some shorts on yt and was excited to watch this but it feels too bland for a triller and investigation plot
10/10 Heavy watch I would say but really really well done. The most important, satisfactory and favourite part is that every other person was shown in prison. Even CWI's friend went to prison for 1 year. No one could evade the punishment!
I was going to sleep around 4:30 am and then I see ML breaking the leg which actually turns out to be amputated. From then onwards, this drama really made me sit down in one place until I finished watching it! I binged it to end without sleeping 🥲
I actually wished that they would show the video of him taking out fake leg and doing exercise in press conference but they didn't.
The characters I hated the most is obviously NHY, not because she is villain but solely for bad parenting. I reached a point where I was feeling terrible and sympathising with No Tae Man. He was poorly raised and stepped on the wrong path. Thankfully, they gave him a proper happiness in end.
I am also happy that CWI & DBM's love line was not left hanging. Their end was rather unexpected. But there were plenty of times I wished they could atleast hug but then again, it might have something to do with military rules.
10/10 coz I was laughing my a$$ out for most of the time. Especially when NJW cursed the attorneys in ep 3 at team dinner, when mom's confronted at NJW's firm and ep 20.
The twist in ep 19 definitely me off guard. I loved NJW's court case scenes. His frustrated moments as Attorney were hilarious. Personally, Attorney NJW > Prosecutor NJW. It's funny coz I started watching this as ML is mentioned as a prosecutor in description. The attorney version was cute goof ball. I liked the hairstyle of attorney role more, also the main reason why I didn't drop the drama at ep 3. I was for sure hooked for the looks of Ji Chang Wook and the comedy at his law firm.
When Eun Hyuk introduced instagram and only then the realisation of 9yrs hit me.
As the role of law firm head(?) passed on to Eun Hyuk, those golden round glasses were also given to him and No Ji Wook was giggling. Love how they showed soo many details in ep 20.

I obviously started watching it as a rom-com and felt frustrated in the end of ep8. In next episode, I do see that the leads were slow but forensic guy sent msg and episode is jumping parts at end. I was frustrated in that moment and came here to vent. I do that very often. You didn't have to take it so seriously.
Ep 8, I wished I could beat the shit out of ML and FL. Like this is not the time for your romance! This is when I truly realised why love-line shouldn't be inserted in crime/thriller/suspense kind of dramas. Like I'm well aware Suspicious Partner is rom-com but I was cursing so bad when they are kissing coz that forensic officer is dying on the other side.
And why the fvck ML kept phone in bag (+silent/vibration)?
I came across this drama under recommendations of Stranger. The genre and plot of Beyond Evil is my cup of tea but somehow I couldn't feel interested in it all. I watched upto midway of ep 3 and was so bored that fell asleep twice.
Jumped straight to ep 15 (I rarely do that) but still I was bored as hell and couldn't bring myself to watch it. Should I say it's too slow? But then again, I was on ep 3 only. After 15-20 minutes of ep 15 I jumped directly to last 15-20 minutes of ep 16.
0.2 deducted coz I really want the final villain to "confess" his crimes and ML visiting No Sun Hoo in ending of ep 16.
Story is predictable at many points but watching the execution is real fun! I was hooked to see how ML unfolds the cases with obvious evidences against defendants.
It's a must watch, especially if you want to see a dedicated and upright attorney and experience the thrill of court scenes.
The female judge character is one of the best ones I have seen. Love how she felt ridiculed by prosecution for poor work performance. I had hearty laugh when she pointed out the prosecutors mistake and how roles of prosecutor and lawyer is switched.
