I guess I have to adapt myself to the way of women having to do things in those times. She plays submissive, to cover her being assertive and smart. I agree with the arrow incidents. Not to the point of her coldness towards him. I also question if she knows that the birthmark behind her ear, is actually his blood? Truly a great story. Thank you for your insight.
I’m missing the elephant in the room. Why is Dou Zhao constantly rejecting Song mo? So obediently submitting herself to what she knows will be a failed marriage. Baffled because she seems so clever for other endeavors. But stumped in her own happiness.
Felt from the beginning, that Kad-Pat’s character was badly casted. He was the eternal nerd. No once of sexiness whatsoever. Too prude, the eternal damsel that puts up with everything.Specially when they start their romance in the second half. Even with all the skinship, I could not relate to it. The story was not bad but it failed to deliver.
Look around you. Don’t be surprised at how many marriages operate this way. This type of abuse is so subtle that it passes for love. Twisted but prevalent in many relationships, unfortunately.🤦♀️
This was a weird weave of a story. The acting was superb. The tension was kept through out. It’s for a mature audience, not due to the nudity but the complex emotions portrayed. Dark. I think some situations were a little ludicrous. But it’s an entertaining show. I recommend it! Also loved seeing Jung Kyung Ho, even for a brief scene.❤️
Wow! What a ride! Very good show. I love Hui Ju’s character. The way she has “silently” defended herself is truly heartwarming. Up to now, very well written.🔥❤️🔥
What a ride! Different from your typical period c-drama. Room for improvement yes. I feel the main leads specifically Zing Yue’s character and the romance between them was not developed enough. But it’s entertaining throughout! Recommended!

Thank you for all your in-sights. I have a couple of days off. Perfect for re watching. So enthralled with the action that I missed some of the nuances in the subtitles. 🫶🫶🫶
What I don’t get is… Why did she have to marry him and become his “hostage” If it’s her family who has the dirt on his Father who wants to run for office? Meanwhile her father is institutionalized with dementia? We are missing pieces of the puzzle! Great start!
