A wasted potential indeed. Writer focused too much on their break up but not their prior relationship build up. Its like we should believe that they love each other to death just because writer told us to. In name of romance there were just few short flashbacks of their childhood in which they were more like brother and sister.
So thats what i felt missing in the drama i.e. moments that led their relationship. There was smoke but no fire.

Despite all that the drama still deserves around 7.8/10. Its just that higher is the expectations, the higher is the disappointment.

This is my 4th rewatch and i don't think i need to further comment about my views on this drama. As for other negative comments well everybody have their own perspective and opinion, there is nothing to argue over that though i agree about it not being realistic then again i don't watch drama for its realism, there are documentaries for that.

Hers was the only character i liked in live your own life drama, i hope to see her in lead roles in future

It was all good until last 2 episode, i mean why did she have have to go through liver donation and why did she keep it a secret from him and ultimately why did she disappear on him. Why do writers love to do separation time leap in almost every drama. We don't deserve this after watching 48 episodes worth of frustration. The youngest brother couple, the most interesting couple were separated with no reconciliation does it make sense.

If in a relationship you constantly worry about your partner being swayed then such relationship is not worth it and the same thing happened here, fl is very indecisive till last and doesn't draws a line with that time fellow however she always have a problem with girls around ml who ml treats with full professionalism i.e. no contact after work unlike the case with fl and time, so as a viewer she fails to convince me of her relationship with ml and this is major difference between thai and Chinese version.

Even if the fl may not have proposed first in all above drama but they all are strong and determined in their love for ml.

Its 9.5/10 for me, because i like dramas where fl proposes first, the half a point deduction is only for long distance relationship at end. Otherwise, its an excellent drama.
By the way being opposed to long distance relationship doesn't mean i am against fl career, it just that there were many ways this could have been resolved like fl and ml working together to build their own traditional brand or ml relocating with fl.

This rating is injustice to the drama, it should be atleast 8/10, good thing i came across it while searching for miles wei dramas, its synopsis itself intrigued me and despite of low ratings i thought since miles wei is in it so how bad could it be and indeed the drama turned out to be excellent but not because of miles wei instead it was fl that carried the drama, she excluded a mature charm that is rare to find in cdramas.
So just go for it and don't take comments about last two episodes seriously as there is nothing wrong with them and they fit the context perfectly.

Such details should have been sorted before starting relationship because from ml perspective no hope would have been better than first giving hope and then taking it away. The prime example of successful relationships in that condition was shown through ml friend and we all saw his efforts and resolution towards his wife. If fl didn't have that much resolve then she shouldn't have initiated the relationship.

I liked the mature romance but the whole series had a kind of gloomy/desolate atmosphere apart from their time in jeju island. There was barely any cheerful moment for ml apart from his interaction with his students, even when he was with fl it was mostly ml who consoled her and comforted her while he barely got any. Fl knew from the start that it was going to be hard to be in relationship with ml condition but still she choose to do so when times were hard for her and later felt uncomfortable with him when she got successful in her career. I should stop because the more i practically analyse the plot the more i start to dislike fl character, in this regard i think his ex girlfriend was far better because atleast she had a understandable reason for their breakup at that time.
So all in all the series went downhill from when ml ex girlfriend came into picture, the fl attitude changed from being proactive to distrustful. It would fine if she was jealous and angry with ml but she alienated ml even when he explained himself. Many comments say that it was misunderstanding that caused their break up while i diagree as fl herself met ml ex girlfriend and warned her, as to what led their breakup was fl distancing herself from ml.

Contentment is what i feel after completing the drama, there is a sense of satisfaction that a very few rare dramas will give.
All in all giving it a 10/10 feels a little inadequate.

Years of hard work went down the drain because of fl's betrayal and ml forgave her, why did fl made so much fuss when ml won the knife fair and square, she expects him to forgive her because of love then why she herself did not do so. Such a messed up storyline.

FL may seem particularly annoying in earlier episodes about persistently visiting tunnel despite ml repeated warnings and why did she not tell ml about her sister since beginning, it was all because she did not want ml to find out that she abandoned her sister.
All i want to say that there was a reason behind fl actions which get cleared in later episodes so don't just give up no drama mid way.

A waste of time and way overrated.

Every 10 min into every episode i had to take a break to calm down my heartbeat. There is nothing more i can say, its a treat for romance genre lovers so be sure to savor it after all this too will end.

I enjoyed every single moment of every episode, the best thing was there was no love traingle at all, I just completed in one day and am going to rewatch again.

I will personally rate it at 6.5 at most, its that bad, too much cliche and badly written fl character. All I want to say to writers is to eat healthy and develop some brain cells. Also don't fall into the trap of fake reviews stating how amazing of a drama it was.
If anyone thinks differently then i would suggest them to watch perfect and casual and compare it themself.

Wow this is such an underrated cdrama, it is very rare especially in cdrama to find such boldly written fl character, only just for this i am ready to give it a 10/10 to this drama. Also ml character is also interesting giving the vibes of certain Italian mafia.
Ost is amazing, even if you don't understand the language its music, tones and beautiful voice will draw you in.
Believe me don't read negative reviews, every second of this drama is worth it and it is enough to satisfy your high expectations after watching hidden love.
