In other Ohm news besides the hate he is getting and people calling for his career to end…His Singapore FanMeet…
I'll let you in on a little secret: he doesn't know any of us nor does he care. None of us have a personal relationship with him. Like some of his other peers at GMMTV he comes across at times as a bit of a spoilt rich brat. He's actually not that talented of an actor.
Do I hate him? No, cause I don't know him. My life does not revolve around him or any of the others. Whether his career flourishes or crashes and burns makes no difference to my life. If he's gone from fame tomorrow there will be another three just like him around the corner ready to replace him. Actually, GMMTV are lining them up as we speak... *cough* "Alpha Project".
So, chill the f**k out. You're not Ohm's mum, dad or on his payroll. He's a big boy and can take care of himself. If you like him and his shows just watch them. If others don't like him then it's their prerogative. It's not your responsibility or duty to defend him, and Ohm isn't going to wake up tomorrow and think "oh that, person on MDL is so nice defending me".
And if you read other THAI peoples posts they say it is a lingo used amongst friends. Just like in the USA a lot…
I am a gay man as well, and the use of "no homo" IS derogatory. Please don't undermine the fight against the stigmatisation of gay people in order to defend an actor from Thailand. He doesn't have to face any of the issues we face - none of these actors do - yet they're more than happy to make tons of money out of the back of the gay community.
-He was punished in school for the bullying incident.-there was no ill-intention in what people call homophobic…
Actually, the "no homo" statement is pretty derogatory to gay people. It very much insinuates that there is something wrong with being gay. It's banned as a hashtag on several platforms. If a celebrity was using it I would seriously question their character.
This is becoming ridiculous... Hating on a young man for something he did as a kid is ridiculous. Am I defending…
I don't know him or his background so can't comment on what he may have allegedly done. That being said he has admitted to it so it's true. Is he still a bully? I have no idea. Personally he's not my cup of tea. My impression is he still has some maturing to do compared to some of his peers.
There is a commonality between all the GMMTV actors. Many of them have similar backgrounds, i.e. middle class / rich kids from private schools. I'm not always convinced their humility is that genuine. Most of them have been scouted and brought in because they fit the mould. There's not a lot of diversity going on. I enjoy some of the shows but am under no illusion.
GMMTV is a business and a money making machine. They chew and spit out actors constantly. How many have come and gone? Some are brought in at the expense of others more talented. One of the absolute worst series (absolute pile of manure!) from GMMTV is 2gether, yet for some inexplicable reason it's the most successful show and has shot the two leads to extreme fame. I don't get it, but there you go. To say their acting is awful is an understatement.
Never understood why fans put them on such a pedestal without knowing them and send them "gifts". It's such a waste of money - they receive thousands weekly if not daily and most end up in the bin. They may keep one or two things , give away some stuff or even sell them, but the rest just ends up in a landfill. Save your money people and the planet. Even if they wanted to keep all of it it's simply not possible unless they have a warehouse. It's your money and you can do what you want with it, but I do find it amusing when fans complain that their "gifts" have made their way to girlfriends and eBay.
Sorry no, there is nothing amazing or ground breaking about this show and we certainly don't need to learn anything in the UK from the show or any other Asian country. If anything it's how NOT to make a drama series. If you want ground breaking gay drama go watch queer as folk - made all the way back in 1999, now THAT was ground breaking! It was realistic, gritty and showed gay life as it was. This is just mildly entertaining fluffy nonsense.
It was pretty obvious Krist was uncomfortable with the role. I found his acting off putting if I'm being honest. I haven't really liked him in any of the shows he's done, and I think he's coasting on the popularity of SOTUS. There was hardly any chemistry between the leads.
The second series SOTUS S isn't much better to be honest. It was a very rushed sequel due to the popularity of this one. Like you said, this show is of its time and the series are a lot better now thankfully.
It has been interesting to see how BLs have developed alongside greater acceptance in society. Still, there are issues and Thailand remains a very conservative country overall.
Reading the comments I'm really happy that First and Khaotung are getting plenty of recognition for their performance on this series as it's well deserved. Like others on here it's by far what I enjoyed the most. The storyline unfortunately is messy. It's not the worst storyline but it's a bit weak. However, the Akk and Aye interactions certainly stand out from the crowd.
But like..we should be greatful for it going viral cuz we got a lot more bls since then and its all because of…
I wouldn't go as far as saying it's all because of 2gether's success, but it has helped. Still doesn't change the fact that it's pretty bad, and could have resulted in the exact opposite, ie less BL series being made. Also, I think what saved it was series 2 of this which is better but still not great as it's hard to improve on an already bad show.
Can someone please tell me why Green was after Tine when he already had a boyfriend.
Because this whole series is a pile of crap, is full of plot holes and the storyline makes absolutely no sense whatsoever? Does that answer your question?
