Yeah I completely agree. I went into this thinking it would be a 16 episode one. But yeah...20 episodes is a lot. I also feel like for historical dramas it can get very boring when it gets too long.

There's the main couple consisting of the female and male lead, then a guy who also likes the female lead, and then a female who likes the female lead. Then also a female who likes the male lead. And I think there's going to be a secondary couple between two side characters possibly. So far the love triangle or square or whatever you wanna call it isn't typical. I say that as no one is fighting really hard with the other over the person.

He's going to get married to another woman as of 17. But I think somethings going to happen to prevent that in 18. However, anything could happen.

Honestly I would rather marry someone I'm not in love with who also doesn't love me than be in love with someone that doesn't love me but loves another. If that makes any sense. I feel like feelings would be hurt less in this situation.

I think it's her way of protecting him. If she gets married to him then the rumors will stop. Being gay back then was very taboo and could result in his death. But then again I'm not sure if she knew of the rumors yet. If she didn't then yeah...she's being pretty selfish.

And to send someone untrustworthy to the chamber for umbilical cords? Like come on!!!

Yeah I was confused about that too. But then maybe thought they just twisted the two together but then that wouldn't make sense either if they wanted to get rid of the evidence of twins.

If I’m remembering correctly there was some hints as to who it could be before it was announced who it was. (But again don’t quote me on that.) I will say I don’t remember suspecting the person it was the first time I watched it. However, I watched it a second time and caught things I didn’t catch the first time through that made much more sense the second watch through. So you may not catch them in a first initial watch through. And I believe you find out who the killer is at least an episode from the end so there’s more wrapping up for it. I also want to note that I think originally the killer was supposed to be another character but I think the writers changed the plot and killer. There was a preview at the end of one of the episodes that shows a scene that never ends up occurring in the following episodes. So that’s what makes me think so.

If I’m remembering correctly you don’t find out who the killer is until near the end but there’s still some story and emotions to offer after because of who it ends up being. However, I will say that the person who ends it being the killer is meh. But the twists and turns and how they make you think so many other people could be the killer is why I stayed. I haven’t watched Mouse yet but I plan to eventually. I would venture to say Mouse is probably better. But definitely try this one out. Also in my review I think I mentioned this drama gets off to a slow start. So like the first 1-4 episodes are sort of back story needed to fuel the rest of the story. So at least try to make it past those before judging it and quitting the drama entirely.

Well so far it's not as good as I thought it would be. But it isn't terrible. I think my expectations were too high.

I have seen them preach before and yes some do act crazy but that’s not what is terrible for me. It’s the actor’s voice. He’s just trying way too hard in my opinion. I had to stop multiple times during his scene because he was so cringe. I think I would’ve been alright had he not made his voice like that. There’s a difference in acting crazy and acting badly. I’ll deal with it though. I’ve been anticipating this drama since the trailer dropped. One actor isn’t gonna turn me away.

Well I'm almost through episode 1 and I really hope I don't have to hear or see that member of Arrowhead streaming ever again. It was so cringey and felt like terrible acting. Anyway back to it.

Yeah I don’t really see a happy ending for his dad. I do see him realizing he screwed up and trying to change and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they pull a thing where he ends up dying in place of Jiwoon and that’s his big “redemption” moment. But then again anything could happen and he could remain evil till the end. I just feel like he’s gotta know he totally screwed up for killing the wrong twin.

I think he's gonna realize the Crown Prince is a girl and have flashbacks like he did in ep 12 and then realize how much he screwed up and go into a cycle of wondering if it all was worth it and maybe change as a person after it. I really hope he doesn't end up killing Jiwoon.

I don't usually say this about dramas but I think this one could've used another episode. While yes I was sad that Pildo died I wasn't all that sold on their relationship. I feel like they needed more solo time together to build that romance but we didn't get that. I also did not like how she didn't really seem sad at first. Just shocked and then she ran off to go kill Mujin. I feel like I would've been so stunned that I couldn't move in that situation. I know she had to get the hell out of there cause they were right in front of the police station but still? I also felt like the ending was meh, I feel like we should've seen the cops find Mujin and see the narc team's reactions to it. I also feel like we should've seen their reactions to seeing him dead. I mean they had to know running up to the car but still. Idk it was a good show but with all of these fighting shows where one person is able to take down an entire mafia crew is so unrealistic. Loved it nonetheless and was heartbroken for Pildo. I also will say they didn't dive enough into his story because yes I liked his character a lot I just feel like they didn't sell his back story very well. It took the back burner.

I think he's there to kill the King and not the Crown Prince and like @su su said he used "shooting" at the Crown Prince as a way to get to be his bodyguard. Ga On has had many opportunities to kill the Crown Prince (at least I feel like it) and hasn't yet so its odd but could just be because this is a drama. However, we do know that the current Queen wants him dead no doubt as she wants her son to be the King. I just simply do not see any motive in killing the Crown Prince unless he's under orders to do so. The Crown Prince would've had no say in who killed his father. It would've been the king.

Sadly the drama won’t air on the 17th now. It’s been pushed back until next week because Yohan has covid. Thankfully he’s asymptomatic as of now. I hope he stays well!

Anyone know if the song playing at the end of episode is an OST?

I feel like the reason people like Squid Game better is because (I'm quoting a non-asian drama watcher when I say this (I personally like AIB better as does my older sister who is also a non-asian drama watcher)) of capitalism. There are underlying themes in some episodes of this and it stuck with a lot of fans.
As someone who is an avid k-drama watcher this doesn't feel like a new theme to me. I've seen it in dozens of korean dramas so I feel like that's why some of us prefer AIB over it.
I also think that some people like AIB more because there are a lot of anime that are similar to this. Danganronpa, as the gods will, deadman wonderland, etc so I think a lot of anime fans appreciate it as well.
