I feel like I’m the only person who didn’t care for KP. I just thought the first episode was ridiculous and…
See, i worry about further recommending it to you, if you thought ep1 was ridiculous/silly (i thought it was fun and v high production value/great visuals) as ep2 was very ridiculous/comedic (in a way I do not enjoy), and if ep 1 was too much in regards to "silly" then ep2 might end you.

My personal opinion: after my not loving ep 2, (it disappointed me so hard after I'd really enjoyed the first ep)it righted itself by end of ep 3. Its best to think of it in parts as a caper as opposed to it taking all of itself seriously, I think. With that being true, some very hard-hitting/serious threads do exist.
It isn't even. It is gorgeous though. The DOP on that show needs to be lauded. There are also a couple really stand-out performances, acting-wise.
The mafia-plot? It's actually not that strong most of the time (in that it's not gritty/realised/ is lakorn-style faintly ridiculous), but some of the interpersonal plots make up for it.

EDITED TO ADD:
Overall I enjoyed it and there were a run of episodes for a bit where I was genuinely excited for the week to countdown to the next episode. Like, willing it to arrive. I'm not a huge fan of Thai BL and a lot of what I dislike, this got right. And it should be applauded for it.

Is there a way to see if specific contributors have posted in a comment section recently? The posting for comment-number…
Well, i just went into my messages to DM one of the users whose posts I was curious about. They have deactivated/deleted their account, so it's just all my messages left. It looks like i've had a psychotic break. I wish MDL had left the response box from the other user with just [deleted] there so it still showed that there was a two-way conversation (even if their content was gone) rather than it looking like me rambing to myself over tens of messages. Absolutely did not like that visual in my inbox.

That's a real shame. Thanks for replying.

The posting for comment-number gains, though fun for those taking part, does mean posts disappear down very quickly and I literally think my thumb might break if i continue to scroll. Im pretty curious to read a couple folks post-14 thoughts. Is it possible to locate user-posts?

I'm saying only one of them is choosing family now. Kinn. Porsche has repeatedly chosen Kinn instead of family. Kinn is the holdout. Thats why it was a stark takeaway for me. I think it is going to cause issues if there is more to be had, and there will have to be a reckoning.

Gonna say something that's likely gonna get me shot, but it's left a really bitter taste.
I didn't love Porsche's "my life is yours" bit. I would have forgiven it, if Kinn had responded with something in kind. Even just "i love you". He didn't. He accepted Porsche like he'd just pledged fealty. It was especially galling after watching Porsche love fiercely and still maintain his ability to separate over the show's arc.
The statement/response gave me motion sickness it keeled so hard.

At this point, Vegas/Pete with a better dynamic: Vegas elevating Pete; Kinn finally bringing Porsche to heel.

Porsche literally chose Kinn over Porchay/ what's best for Porchay, twice in this episode alone.

1- When he's back home and Vegas calls to say the showdown is on, Porsche chooses to go back. He could have used that time when everyone was looking elsewhere to take Chay and boost. He didn't. He left his kid brother in a bar with no supervision during a mafia bloodbath, because Kinn was his choice. And his bro was already kidnapped before! So this was particularly stupid. Its not like no one knew Porsche's connection to the bar.

2 - When Korn offered him head of minor fam. Well, Porsche if you're the literal branch head of a fucking mafia family, how exactly do you keep Porchay out of it?
Porchay moving into the compound for the 3rd time now.

It's not Stockholm syndrome.I don't support their relationship either, it's too toxic for my taste but it's not…
Definitely. Also Stockholm syndrome isnt real. It was a spectacularly vicious gaslight and unfortunately popular media loves it too much to allow it to die the death it deserves

Guess you haven't read VegasPete special chapters from the novel.
She shouldnt have to. It's a standalone show. No TV show or film should rely on the source material being understood in order to follow the show/film. This is true of anything except companion media.

I've been away for work for what feels like months. I had the missed episodes stacked and ready to go on the flight home, to catch up, ready for the finale.
The first episode of the series was so super-strong out of the gate that the following episodes just didn't quite hit the top notes enough for me. There were really tight bits and then bits where it came loose/ was filler.
Parts of this episode got back to that level of early promise. Enough that I rate the series higher now than I did prior to ep14. I think they have a solid foundation if they decide to put S2 into production, and I'd be excited to watch. This has moved Thai BL on by such a significant margin. And maybe Thai drama in general. It's not perfect but it's definitely carved a new path.

Reading back on what i've missed, I see a lot of disappointment in the Vegas/Pete sex-scene re: not being what folk hoped to see.
I really could not be more stoked they took the route they did with it. I could probably write pages on why it was the bolder choice and the better choice.

Obviously, all of this is written as my humble opinion and not as the "right" way to feel/watch/ experience it.

There are definitely bits of this series I need to come back to.

Takeaways:
Korn is an asshole.
Kinn still chose his father over Porsche.
Life isnt finished being fucking unfair to Porsche.
Kim's video confession isn't enough to fix the hurt he willfully caused. His BAMF side in the bar changes nothing. The family should have protected Chay, it's their fault he was targeted.
I want Chay to toughen up for his own protection. I also want him to stay innocent. Those two things are likely mutually exclusive.
Arm/Pol ship sailed?
Macau is the best brother of all the brothers.
Vegas needs to have nothing else taken from him. He gets to come into his own now.
Namphueng is a ticking timebomb.
If Korn is as bad as i think he is, Chan has been an instrument of him for potentially decades. This makes me less pissed at his death. He was absolutely BAMF in this episode, though. His whole choreography in the initial incursion was a joy to watch.
Erika hit her limit with this shit.
The lady mafia boss being the only one who screamed when Kinn put down the baying dogs, infuriated me.

someone said on tt that thinks Kinn and Kim that have the same mother ? when Porsche was like How’s your brother?…
It's because they didnt fully translate it. Porsche asked about Kinn's "Nong". Kinn responded that he feels like he doesnt have a "Nong" he hasnt seen him for a while. Nong is specifically "younger brother". The brother being discussed was specified as Kim, it just wasnt translated that way.

So, I am assuming at his point in the show-narrative, Kinn *should* have shot Tawan, but couldn't bring himself to. Effectively banished Tawan, instead? Then to keep up with his front, told everyone he'd shot Tawan dead? Kinn said he couldn't ever see himself not loving Tawan - so maybe in the immediate aftermath of Tawan's betrayal, though Kinn was expected to execute Tawan, he just...couldn't? He implemented a plan b instead, and that decision is about to cause near-nuclear fallout.

I think It was the worst episode so far. Its not a mafia. Its just a joke.
It was pure Lakorn. Ill give it it's due for actually doing it well and subverting it. I think it's gonna go nuclear next ep.

So next episode is gonna be Tawan-focused. He will make his move (leaving this spoiler-free) and the mansion is gonna go nuts in response. Its whether they cliff-hanger it with Porche finding out what's happened, or a bit further down the line and it's Chay having the Porsche/Kim revelation double-whammy. If its the first, Vegas/Pete is ep 10. If it's the second, V/P will start in ep 9.

If the pool scene is ep 9, then Tawan arc will resolve in 9. This means Chay is aware by end of ep 9, and if this is the case, Pete is on the way to his fate

I think this is why the preview is of exactly nothing. It's gonna be WILD and BOC are keeping their powder dry

OK. So i think this is the rounding off of the Porsche/Vegas story. The showrunners have pulled multiple scenes into one - the Kinn/Porsch bathroom scene (which was better than novel as Porsche was comfortable and willing). Its also the shirtless Porsche/ Vegas bathroom scene and the (almost) kiss scene in the car. Its all the Kinn jealousy wrapped up. I think this wee distraction is at an end, focus will move to Tawan, and Kinn gets to be stupid/ a total dick some more and Vegas/Pete should start to move into focus now. Vegas knows Pete is spying. He knows he's reporting to Kinn, both from the house scene and likely cos Kinn showed up in the bathroom when Vegas was with Porsche. Plus, the car-tailing scene previously. In fact, i think thats why Vegas was so nonchalant in the house when "finding" Pete. He already has Pete's number. And Pete has no idea.
I think the pool scene is maybe gonna be ep 9, as i think ep 8 is gonna be Kinn messing up a good thing.

I kinda like they are using Korn as the devil on Kinn's shoulder in the series, as opposed to Kinn just being...how he is in the novel. The dad is overruling Kinn's better judgement in the series. Its a v. different dynamic

I have seen people say it will end when Pete will leave from Vega's houseHOPEFULLY NOT
I think they might advance the main family story, but hold back the VP story right there. I would if i was a show runner. Run the Main family story to Korn's line on Kim and just leave the VP progression to them both being in the post-house-emotional-chaos. Yeah it changes the point Pete makes his mind up, but they've already played with the narrative. Its the easiest stop point/cliff hanger for both strands

I am convinced Jom is acting it. He knows exactly who Kinn is, and though i doubt he knows the specifics, he knows Kinn is resposible for the crazy ball of sunshine and chaos that he calls his best friend being so out of sorts. I swear that the only revenge he knew he could take was one where he feigned ignorance while saying and doing what he did. To protect Porsche from retribution (and himself). The lie P&K told about Kinn being a colleague, gave Jom his in. And his out. He took it.
