i understand ML's reason for hiding truth about his son. would you hand over weapon to someone whom you know wields every tool in her/their poessession to achieve personal goals.. he thinks she is in for fame and wealth and uses fraudulent menthods to achieve them.. so why will he confess blackmail potential information to her..????? he did it to protect himself and his family and son from any potential blackmail or harm... i dont see anything wrong in this...

what he did wrong is , coming out as feeling immense disgust towards her since beggining since she is a fraudster and to pretend to love while he didnt.. thats hisbig MISTAKE.. and also threatening her with career loss and actually enabling her career loss

as for his manipulative methods.. for all long term C/L drama lovers - when have u not seen dramas where such methods arent norm at that level of high soceity circles.. its a vicious circle.. none can escape without engaging a bit in that game.. do i approve such methods , i dont.. but do i understand their engaging their methods , i do now after all these dramas egave me a peek into their world 😂🤣... now a days i dont even enjoy cindrella stories or root for love stories between unequal social status people

well said!! when FL's acquaintance engaged in similar tactics as her , even she couldnt like his approach or empathise .. so even a fraudster doesnt appreciate it when someone else does it...

though it was fake, for sometime, FL felt a sense of love and security. i think that slap is more for shattering that than anything ...

his redeeming quality is not abandoning his child based on his parents advice. ..though they pass off that kid as his brother..

she didnt try to harm him using the kid;s news ,,,, in my eyes , that makes her a better human , she has redeeming features.. irrespective of everything , she knows what she should not do , the levels she should not stoop to..

It feels sad to see her start at zero., luckily, atleast, its not some one trying to exploit her fall..

There are people chasing fame and wealth in this world. But she was not chasing those, She was chasing love and security and she thought she found them in him. He was confused it was the 1st she was chasing, and trying to threathen her with it.. she is moving away since that was not the case and it wad love and security always. Not knowing this bit will make him think she will NEVER ealk away , and making him wonder when she walks away.. he may have ressarched a bit, but would not have totally grasped what her actual deal is.... this will prove costly to him...when reality hits him ...some history from her upbringing would have helped him understand, i guess no one who really knew her spoke to him during his research

Ep15: clearly its ML who made anonymous tip about falsified family background . And some meddling in her career too...am happy she resigned.. if she will or will not spread rumour about his son will determine which of them is a much better human than the other... she can easily hit back too, and it will hurt him deeply as well, but if she doesnt ,i will root for her.. despite everything if she will not stoop to the level of hurting a young child, she has redeeming features. Now that shackles of career and false life fell off, everything is a gain in my opinion. She has skills , she will do well in what ever field she takes up...

will read it after the drama ends, else will be difficult to enjoy either of them ..

i was thinking about qaio lin.. she got everything easily in life... got parents fawning over her in childhood, and a banker ex , and a ortho doctor in the future.. she didn't suffer as much as FL did..

forgot to add , she got and is getting all this with minimum or no effort to improve herself , her education or anything !!!!!!

the best opportunity both had at reconciliation was when she proposed a reconciliation and had communicated her inner feelings. had he accepted her offer gracefully they would have made a comeback with minimum bruises and their relationship would have healed over time. .. but it seems he doesnt like being exposed to being equally fraudster,.. i dont think its her fraud that bothered him so much as his own exposure as being one too.. also, the secret that was between the family and fang lei is now revealed to FL too. i suspect he is worried she might use it against him since she is also cut throat. i always wondered since he believed she is after fame and wealth ... why did he had to pretend to be a perfect husband too? make her believe that he loves her deeply? at the core even he doesnt believe dangling money and fame will work eventually, and used everything including love as a backup to convince her .. he is more desparate than her to make her marry him... i think marriage is viewed as a stability factor in business world and since he was raring to breakout from his fathers shadow, he needed this more than her.

He is trying to keep her stable and not crack before her father signs the project contract.. his behavior changed immediately towards her after he got picture of signed contract

Not sure how the ratings work. But when i watched 1st episode, i wanted to drop . For some reason the whole vibe seemed fake.. good that i didnt since the setup of the drama is supposed to be fakeness, the drama got so much better from ep1 .. may be thats the reason for dip in ratings and readjustment when people started appreciating the drama in later episodes

She met him first at agave.. and seemed to have been surprised when he asked her to meet at their company headquarters... so when she 1st approached , maybe she doesnt know his actual background... but him, he refused 1st..and for some wierd reasons accepted to be interviewed ... and invited her to headquarters..instead of agave studio... she may be greedy to climb up the laddee..but he carefully laid the ladder for her to climb... she didnt even know she was being led from the beginning...
The way i see.. she may have been moved by his wealth.. but she didnt ask for his explicit help anytime.. she tried to solve her personal and professional things herself.. but yes, being married to him builds her credibility overnight..that the only advantage she gained intentionally or unintentionally, .. possible she fell in love, and she wanted to be with him . She sees the challenges in the path..and tries to solve them most crudely using deception and successfully marries him... He researched her before he started his love with her..he gained what he wanted from her - seemingly perfect wife and with a useful job... when both used deception how is only her in the wrong? Didnt he deceive her as well? When she asked for reconciliation he displays such disgust.... if she is fraud , how is he not? Didnt he use deception as well, passing off son as brother..being wealthy and all
