I am utterly disgusted that it has been revealed only now that this drama is split into two parts.I purposefully…
they didn't hide anything. It was always supposed to be a two part drama. there's even a MDL page for the second part which is linked above in "related content" which has been there from the start
the official sources say "summer (tentative)" and the unofficial sources (the rumors) say it may be in spring i.e. March (because that's when peony flowers bloom)
Yessssss. Both Changyang and Mudan are clever people, so I'm sure a mere spy concubine forced upon Changyang by Prince Ning is no big issue for them to deal with.
Thank You for explaining I was thinking the same this is a realistic historical tang dynasty drama and according…
yeah probably. Part One was more about Mudan establishing a foothold in Chang'an- her business and her group of friends. This Part was not much focused on Changyang and the Court, so Part Two will probably have more of that and plus, as you said, about Mudan's rise in status.
to everybody mad about Mudan being a concubine- she is a slave so she cannot possibly be the main wife. I've seen some spoilers about the Part Two of the story that Mudan will be promoted to the Princess rank, which means that she will probably be the main wife then. This is a historical drama and ranks are important in that society. We were already expecting the marriage to happen in this part but it's surprising to me that some people expected Mudan to be the main wife.
MRJH and Mei Lin being in a hideaway village means that we will probably get some slice-of-life moments with the villagers taking them to help in the fields, get wood from the forest, take care of the farm animals, and more. MRJH and Mei Lin are about to enter their Studio Ghibli eraπ
WTF the Xiyan siblings just do whatever they like with Mei Lin? Wow that was unbelievable
I was so confused by Xiyan Prince's persistent "Wait for me to return" because why is he telling her to wait when he doesn't even know if she wants to or not?? These siblings keep forcing their feelings on FL. None of them ask Mei Lin about what she wants.
Exactly. Her view on this revenge is very much based on idealism. She is up against a Crown Prince who is ruthless…
I am not liking it. Some things seem nonsensical to me. Anyway, it's still enjoyable. Hopefully, FL will do away with her idealistic standards for taking revenge and won't pin the blame on MJH when someone is in harm's way again in future episodes.
Mei Lin is still a little naive and impulsive . She became an emotional wreck when those beauties died and just…
Exactly. Her view on this revenge is very much based on idealism. She is up against a Crown Prince who is ruthless and this Crown Prince will make ruthless moves against them and these moves will sometimes be predictable, sometimes not and people will get caught in the cross fire. MJH, imo, was nice enough to have in his mind that he would send those ten Xiyan girls back to their home. If it was a proper power struggle/revenge drama (like Royal Nirvana, NiF etc.) there is a slim chance anyone would have cared for those girls. I would have just brushed off the FL for being naive and simple if it was some other case but Mei Lin is supposed to an assassin. A hardcore one. So it annoyed me to see her be that way and say those things as if she were some sheltered girl from a noble family. Also, I wouldn't have minded if she had said something like "Those girls were my friends so I am very hurt that they died and I can't help but be emotional that they got caught up in our revenge plans" but no she instead pinned it all on MJH. Oh well. I hope she has some character development. That would be good.
