I feel that this topic brings sooooo much drama in the dramaworld and I know that I myself was part of some internet wars, but at the end of the day, everyone has their own opinion and if both actors and characters they are playing are 18+ than I got no problem with even huge age gap (if the romance is at school of course the characters can be lower than 18 since it isn't considered as a pedophilia).
Suprisingly, people often fight about the real age of actors, which for me doesn't make sense, since the actors are all 18+ of age so legally it is more than fine + their age has nothing to do with the character they are playing. Like, when I watch any drama I focus on only characters. I don't give a flying F what the actors do in their real life. If I wanted to follow the real actors I would turn up some interview to watch and not their drama where they are playing someone totally different.
My final comment is - when u are watching drama focus on the character's age. If big age gaps that are legally fine creep you out, don't watch the drama.
I still laugh at comments about Edward Cullen being a pedophile LOL.
I don't know which subs you used, but Nagisa states on the movie that he's been gay all along. He just went through…
I never said anything about gay men not being able to have sex with women I even said that some gay men are married and have kids in order to fit in. I was pointing out ONLY at Nagisa since he had such sexual problem in the mini series. Also I really didn't ask for explanation on how LGBT community works in Asian countries, because trust me I wrote a paper on it for my uni so in this field I am educated and as a part of the LGBT community myself I view this movie obviously differently than you. I feel that they have portraited it badly and I think I said pretty good reasons. If u disagree with my opinion than you are more than welcome to, but I get a feeling from your message that u are trying to ''lecture me'' and ''persuade me'', which I quite don't like.

I had the good subs, but I still reacted like Shun even before Shun has said those words "You are BI". The reason why I am mad at this movie and not at LIFE which are so so so similiar is because from the start the sexuality was not said in LIFE so it was really possible for those characters to be Bi and make such decision like they did, but if u have watched the mini series that this movie followed than u will know that Nagisa never had a problem with the thing characters from LIFE had which is "fitting in" in society. There was not even a small hint and how vocal they were about Nagisa's inability to have sexual intercourse with women. The overall building of the character was very very very bad.
Also, Nagisa's leaving was in the movie said to be on a whim, because he met his ex-wife randomly and hook-ed up with her. He wasn't actively searching for a wife or he wasn't thinking about how hetersexual life is. He left because of other reason unlike the character from Life.
Thus, I came to conclusion that he didn't leave Shun to pursue a ''normal'' life which means the whole thing about his sexuality was very badly done. Yes, gay men have wives and kids, but it's forced and them trying to fit in, but from my subjective observation, Nagisa never cared about the society around him and his leaving wasn't because he wanted to marry a woman.
Now, shall we get to my review? I have been waiting for this movie for over a year and I was pretty hyped up. The mini drama gave us good kick-starter for the movie and we got to know the characters on quite a deep level. We got to know that Nagisa is gay and that he gave up on heterosexual relationships, since as he himself said - he has ''problems'' down there. This is not a spoiler, as this is pretty clear from the description of the movie and the trailer, but on the other side, the trailer is very confusing. At first I thought that they changed the scriptwriter since Nagisa changed a LOT and not in a good way. The scriptwriter changed someone's sexuality in span of few months and that actually insulted me for some reason? If the movie was already set to be this way, why didn't he make Nagisa a bisexual in the mini series, because there he said numerous times that he is gay and that - sorry to be vulgar - his pee pee does not work with women, so Sora's presence is ''biblical'' if his pee pee didn't work.... Also, overall attitude of Nagisa was just pure trash and he was ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuude as hell!!!!! Like if my ex showed up and just moved in with me randomly, I would A) Call cops or B) Sadly, commited an act of domestic violence, but is it domestic violence or attempted/possible burglary? Overall, I had to give this movie low rating and the only thing that kept the rating above 5 is Sora because she was a cutie and yes, the movie did touch the topic of LGBT people raising kids. That's it - I do not have other reason because the dialogus were bad and just absurd. If someone has such real life relationship than good luck to them - sincerly.
I've never really understood why suicide is a sin.. Does someone know? Is it because you are deciding to take…
@Cookie If I remember correctly, in old interpretations it says that since humans were created by God, harming yourself and ending your own life - thus not leaving your fate up to the Almighty - is prohibited and u will be sent to Hell.
It isn't among the 7 deadly sins that are talked about in Bible. Keep in mind that Bible is always modified and there are a lot of interpretations of it. Some view it as a sin, but moden interpretations say otherwise. It is VERY sensitive topic to talk about.
I dropped it after first few seconds as the production quality is pure trash.... Not even sorry for my words, since this is a perfect example of ''quantity over quality'' content that's been in the LGBT drama world.
Maybe they volunteer to sub the episodes Normally when you Volunteer you don't get paid
Yeah, Viki is a volunteer site - it is written there everywhere. But does it make sense that DF paid their translators and they managed to also pay for license? Viki pays nothing to translators and takes everything to their own pockets. That's why I encourage others to leave, because with such conditions that they have set it is slavery.
What happen? Mind to share more? I am watching this via iqiyi
Hahaha, free subcsription only if u fulfill their quota and still they license so little shows that it is not worthy + the license does NOT last forever. Just imagine a drama u worked your ass of being deleted. That was the last thing I could handle and I left - since I was a channel manager of whole drama and I was the one who had to tell whole team what Viki higher-ups have done.
No, Techno is not gonna play as far as I know, since I got this from Mame ( someone translated it months ago ), because we are getting LBC2 where Techno's relationship will evolve. And personally, it is a smart move since we cannot have 2 actors playing ONE role in two series when both series will probably air back-to-back. The audience would be confused, so I guess that's why they decided to keep Techno ONLY in LBC2 and proooobably have him make cameo in TT2.
